Im so excited for this!!! I have a question tho: can you change it from where it only has the same minor league teams making offers every time? I like when random mlb teams make me offers oft the rip, or isn't this possible? Thank you!

Hey gang! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I plan to release an update either today or tomorrow with below:

- Gleyber Torres and Corbin Burnes signings

- Adjusted a few misc players ratings/talent

- Slight adjustments to a few players injury proneness

- Reviewed and adjusted market sizes. Slighted adjusted a few teams up/down on budget and/or market size.

- Adjusted markets/budgets have 5 tiers for the most part

- Tier 1: Printing money. Massive market teams. Only 3 in this tier. Dodgers, Mets, Yankees.
- Tier 2: Big markets that spend: Phillies, Astros, Rangers, etc
- Tier 3: Mostly average to above average market teams: Cardinals, Cubs.
- Tier 4: Small to Below average market teams, spend some: Royals, Mariners, Brewers
- Tier 5: Small markets teams, small budgets: Rays, Pirates, Marlins, etc

*** ROSTER UPDATE 1-4-25 ***

- Updates for any Free Agents or trades
- Misc updates to a few players/prospects
- Jeff Hoffman RHP I’ve adjusted to be a potential SP. Stamina set at 95 (out of 250) so prob a 5 inning guy. Adjusted his pitch mix to be closer to real life (heavy FB, SL usage)

Sorry I missed this!

Just unzip this file that ends in *.lg to your saved_games folder. Then you should be able to load OOTP and load the league file from the start up screen. Good luck!

I am very new to this but can someone help me step by step in how to load the up to date rosters

I was also told by admin that you could use live stats for up to date rosters but when I did that the rosters were old

I'm guessing they can but it's disincentivized for them because then what's the motivation for ppl to wait for and buy 26

Unfortunately no I believe will only work in OOTP 25

Mac/Windows - Unzip Folder
Move unzipped folder to Saved Games under OOTP 25 (Mac is under Application Support, Windows will be the folder assigned to Out of the Park Developments)
Under Saved Games, on your computer, ensure the saved file is there.

Boot up Out of the Park 25, click Load Games, the file name you just moved to your saved games folder will now show up as a Load Game, typically with a start date of 11/08 in game.

My suggestion, update your name and assigned team along with any players data you wanted updated prior to turning on AI to make moves on behalf of CPU controlled teams under Game Settings (I typically sim the game to the day of (for instance today is 1/8, I'd sim to 1/8 in game)
From there, I also have a few personal settings I update with if anyone wants those.

This is a fun way to stay engaged throughout the offseason and happy to help answer questions on this save file. OG Poster does a really good job on these

Hi! I'm extremely curious about your settings ideas and anything else because I am having trouble with the immersion with having to pick my own team rather than it giving me offers lol

Not trying to be a pest, but when I see the file under saved games on laptop and then load game. The new file does not appear under files to load...any help would be appreciated

Not a pest at all, I had all the questions when I first started using OOTP mods/updates.

Are you on Mac or Windows?

You'll want to be sure you are selecting the right "Saved games" folder under the correct version/year of the game (OOTP 25).

I'll typically already have an idea for what team I want to "Run" prior to starting a save, but have in times past randomized the teams 1-30, and ran the randomizer to "choose" the team that wants to hire me. I also will create myself as the Real GM so to speak and have the assistant GM be someone in the Front Office for real (i.e. - I am Chris Young and the Assistant GM is Ross Fenstermaker). I also use the legacy setting that I am the GM and still have a manager, but have it so I choose the lineups and pitching staffs, and try to update the budgets and owners to fall more in line with their realistic styles too.

I finally figured saved games part and I have loaded the update, but how do you take control of a specific team...it says I dont have control of any team

FYI, the saved file date reads 1-4-24, shouldn't it read 1-4-25? And the in game date is Wed Nov 6, 2024, shouldn't it be Sat Jan 4, 2025?
