Just as a quick response to Adam B's post in the "friendly suggestion" post that he locked, as I told you 355 days ago, "we will never satisfy everyone" is not exactly a good excuse to not try to satisfy anybody.

That being said, folks, this game is what it is. The development team are what they are. If they wanted to be more costumer friendly, they would. They have actively chosen not to improve their marketing or bring in somebody who's more experienced in costumer service for 10 years now, it's not going to change. (Everybody has their strengths and their weaknesses, this honestly isn't meant to be a knock on anybody, but the person who most frequently comments on this board as a representative of the game is clearly not trained to be in a costumer facing role and it shows.)

My point is that complaining about it isn't going to change anything. The aforementioned person has literally told us that complaining about something "...may end up having the opposite effect" of what we want. (Yes, there's a non-zero chance that they are literally delaying the game further specifically to spite people complaining about it not coming out, if you take his words at face value. I wish I could've seen Markus's face when he read that.)

It's your life, do what you want, but you'll probably be a lot happier if you just forget about the game and do something else with your time. There's a reason I only post here a few times a year while I'm a regular on forums for other games. (If you're wondering if those games have more friendly and engaging developers...yes, yes they do) If the game coming out late and/or the way the game is marketed turns you off to the point that you don't want to buy it now, maybe come back around the holidays or the all-star break and see if there's a discount, or look for a OTTP 26 + FHM 11 bundle when that comes out if you play both.

As I pointed out on Discord, the game is not rejected on Steam. Our page for the game was rejected due to a non FHM logo being visible. It's changed, in the queue and we're waiting for it to be approved.

This isn't holding up the game and our planned release date has not come or gone yet. Why is it important though? A huge portion of our sales are Steam. Steam is by far the #1 way PC games are sold. That's a huge deal to us.

While we appreciate the excitement for our game, our forums are also only a part of our community. Just because we're not always responding doesn't mean we're not listening or watching.

As for Markus, well, I have no idea what he thought because you took my comments completely out of context. We have a "Master list" of ideas, plans, etc for what we want FHM to be and what I said was sometimes that list and order change- and voices can move things up or down. I would also point out FHM is not owned by Markus, nor does he have a lot to do with the game. We are a separate and independent company.

If you think that I'm the one who's doing everything independently and coming up with dates, you would also be mistaken.

We're excited to share it with those who are excited for it.

While I agree that giving us some insight on what is coming would be nice, I can’t completely blame the devs for having their own particular way of doing things. It sucks to wait with no news, but I can’t tell them the best way to run their business either. We can either be patient and buy the game when it releases or don’t.

Is there a cliff notes version for those of us that don’t have one hour and eight minutes to watch a full stream?

Watched it earlier this morning getting ready for work but what I recall:

- Int'l tournaments for custom leagues
- 4-nations tournament added and will occur every fourth year
- new owner goals that can get you fired if not achieved
- more info on the scores re-cap page (3 stars, etc)
- 2D will have teams stay in formation longer (e.g. on the power play) and less tape to tape passes. Some passes to an area for a player to skate to.
- AHL playable to its inception; all players in the database now
- Mid year report on who is leading in race for awards up to that point
- Hopeful of a release next FRI (25 OCT)...still going through Steam approval and then they need it posted for period of time to get wishlist numbers up (that is a Steam requirement). They are working through different points of contact to see if they can speed up the process.

Might be more but that is what I recall.

I am on east coast so didn't see it live. Would have liked to have asked about quality of life things for the NHL game. The waiver rules not being accurate has irked me for years and that was further exacerbated with what we saw with Lavoie this season. We can't have that happen in FHM because if you claimed a player they were given a "no movement" tag and you were stuck with them all year. That is the exact reason the Lavoie thing happened the way it did. If a player had to stay on a roster for any period of time, it could cause a cap issue or, worse, force a team to waive a player they don't want to to be cap compliant. Makes it harder to take a flyer on a player and discover a diamond in the rough.

Well that's underwhelming.

Was there any mention of GM being able to edit lines, like OOTP during the stream?

Didn't hear that but, of course, once the change list comes out there will likely be a lot of changes/updates. Maybe that one makes it.

Considering they basically have a five-month development cycle I'm not sure what you guys expect. Not to mention they were releasing fixes for FHM 10 as well into July. It's not like they have a huge development team that can be split in half to work on the next game and support the current game.

I think people expect far too much from annual sports releases, even though the FHM team probably adds more to their game every year than EA does. Hell, the only reason it looks like EA adds content is because they remove half of it at the launch of a new generation and then add it back in and call it "new".

I’m curious if there are any tweaks to PP tactics (specifically using 4 forward PP units) and AI logic in PP personnel. That’s been something I’ve been hoping to see addressed for years.

That and whether any of goalie usage, AI evaluation of defensive Dmen or the logic in award voting have been addressed will be key determinations in whether I get this years version.

Then don't sell yearly releases. I think all sports games (including console) get it way it way to easy on what's expected considering they are the same price as every other game.

It's why I don't buy any sports games yearly. Not for console or PC. I'm on atleast a 2 year rotation.

I'm not sure they’re allowed to skip a year. I would be all for releases every other year, but devs have to make money to pay for development costs somehow. Since FHM really doesn’t have that without selling a game every year, it would be kinda difficult. Companies like EA who have online modes that rake in millions as well could probably pull it off.
