Wonder how Ty Cobb wound up in Pittsburgh? (I say that as someone who had Cobb on the Pirates in my own sim...)

At the least, the Red Sox will have more baseball championships than IRL--maybe as many as the other Boston sports team, the Celtics (18)...

I actually questioned that in the historical DB bug forum and the reply was given that seeing as Ty was a FA when Detroit signed him, that's how he comes into the game if you are using historical minors.

Same goes for most of these early guys. I had to actually sign Tris Speaker, Harry Hooper and Joe Wood as FA although the house rules meant that if someone had beat me to it or gazumped me I'd have pulled the commish card and manually put them on our roster.

As you'll soon see, this save is about completely rewriting the overriding Red Sox narrative. Not sure that'll get the club more rings but hopefully it'll cause less heartache...
