EyePoopedToday + aks62, click on the link at the bottom of eriqjaffe's post. Click on logo maker. click on "latest" in green on right side. download your version. (there is no virus)
OOTP.Logo.Maker.0.1.1.setup.exe for windows users. Install the program. Play around with it to learn what it does. Ask questions if needed. Have fun. |

Is there anyway to move an image to the back so that the text is on top of it? If not, is that something that could be added? Conversely, be able to bring the text to the front?

Not currently, but I think I could probably do that.

You mean for the roundel / square / circle shapes? I'd have to look back into how I'm doing that, but I think that's possible.

Just playing with 0.2.0. The stacking for the image works well, if all the roundels are set to transparent. If any of the roundels are selected, then you can have the image on top, with the text below it, then the roundel. I haven't figured out how to move the text to the top, with the image next, and the roundel in the back.

Never mind, I figured it out. I just have to keep pressing shift - or shift + several times and it eventually does what I want it to do.
Actually, CTRL - or CTRL + will move the object up or down by one each time it's used, so it gets the job done eventually. Last edited by cmcgill; 07-10-2024 at 06:16 PM. |

Yeah, the object stacking is always going to be tricky because there are just so many objects. It can be mitigated a bit by grouping them, but not always. The little indicator showing stacking order filters out a lot of things that can't be moved because otherwise the popup would be 50 items long and would scroll off the screen. :/

I've tried using a local font for the first time and it didn't go great. The first one I tried, I got a message that it failed to load, but I did it again and it showed up in the list. I then added another one. That showed up in the list, but I couldn't change the outline or fill color. So I quit and restarted the program, but then I couldn't change the text at all except for deleting it. And now every time I start it up, it's the same problem. What can I delete to fix that?
On another matter, when selecting a color for one font, could that be added to the samples for the other font as well? Also, I don't know if this is possible, but for a two word city, such as New York, in either of the text boxes, could there be a setting to allow New to be angled one way, and York the opposite way? Like having New angled up, and York angled down? |

Unfortunately no, that can't be done. |

Looking at it...that might wind up being a bit tricky. Not saying it's impossible, but...not as simple as I had hoped. :/

It seems that when parts of a logo approach the edges of the canvas, when that logo is saved, it becomes squished. Could this be fixed? See the example below:

Also, would it be possible to add even more fonts to the program? I haven't had much luck trying to use local fonts.

I'd say that's highly unlikely.

Would it be possible to re-import a logo previously made in the program, in case there are some tweaks you'd want to make? Not sure if that's practical or not.

It seems that when a square logo is selected, the text won't fill with a selected color. Same for Home Plate and rounded square. And when None is selected, no text shows up at all. Maybe that's by design.

That is intentional yes. "None" hides everything except what the user has uploaded. If you want to have words floating in space around an image you can just set all the shape elements to be transparent. Last edited by eriqjaffe; 08-02-2024 at 04:16 PM. |
