Draft Pool Feature - 1909
The featured player for 1909 is
MAX CAREY Not the best draft class but Max Carey is projected #1 player out of Terre Haute, IN as the game is looking for better hitters that can take over. Carey is expected to be durable and dependable and should hit .300 each year. He can be a solid team leader and doubt he would slip past 3rd in the draft. |

Draft Pool Feature - 1910
The featured player for 1909 is
RED SMITH Red Smith comes to the draft from Greenville, SC and is not expected to be a top 5 pick in this draft with Max Carey failing to sign with the Washington Senators. Smith is underrated and will end up with a better team right away as a result of probably being picked between 8 and 12. Scouts say he is a sleeper, where others are going to look towards Carey, George Burns and Tilly Walker for offense. |

Draft Pool Feature - 1911
The featured player for 1911 is
CASEY STENGEL This colorful player out of Kansas City, MO will be one of the best leaders in a draft that is hard to measure, he could end up in the top 10. Hard to believe he debuts in 1912 and 50 years later he is managing the 1962 Mets. A true lifer with many colorful quips, whoever gets him will get a fan draw. |

Quite the Debut
Have not been posting any day to day in this league until I get to present time but have to post this accomplishment.
Ernie Shore of the Boston Red Sox made his major league debut against the New York Highlanders up in the Bronx and pitched a no hitter. Shore who was picked 2nd in this past draft showed up and fanned 3 and walked 1 as Bill Hinchman drove in 4 runs to give him all the offense he needed. |

Draft Pool Feature - 1912
The featured player for 1911 is
WALLY SCHANG,/b> Not too often so far a catcher has garnered much draft day attention but Schang has been well recogniized. A hard nosed player from South Wales, NY near Buffalo. Catchers have not made much of a difference so far, but this one can steal bases and will bat around .300 while throwing out runners, so there is an expectation of him being picked in the top 3 this season. He expects the Giants or Yankees could draft him which would keep him in New York but a long way away from Buffalo area. |
