Is there too many Perfect cards?

So I opened 3 Perfect packs today. With all the perfects in the game I was surprised all 3 Perfects were live cards? Figured the odds were against live all the time since there are more perfects. But I still managed to get ripped off.

I believe that the 70/30 ratio of Live to Historic still holds. That is something that I hope is addressed in PT23 as it gets tiring to get the same 8-10 live 100s over and over again when there are so many others out there, especially later in the cycle.

That. Same for diamonds as well; the same lives over and over, while there are still many historics going right back to BaL that I've never seen.

Suggested solution; keep the ratio as-is until the live values are fixed at the end of the season, then throw all the cards in the same pot with no live/historic split.

I’d make it slide little by little as the season goes and more historic packable cards enter into the game. It looks like there are around 35-40 Live Diamonds and 9-10 Live Perfects. I’m not sure how many packable Historic Diamonds and Perfects there are at the start of the year but let’s just suppose that there are about twice as many of each (80 Diamond and 20 Perfect). Looking at the Diamonds, to have a 70/30 ratio in this environment each Live Diamond cards would need to appear about 4.7 times more frequently than each Historic card. I say to just maintain that ratio on a per card basis. Say that twenty more packable Historic Diamonds are released to take the number up to 100. If you maintain the per card ratio of 4.7 then the overall ratio of Live to Historics in packs would drop to 65/35. As the season progresses and the number of packable Diamonds hits 150, the Live to Historic ratio would drop to 55/45. The same principle would apply at all levels. You might have a different modifier for each level but you get the idea.

Seems like i get the same 5 or 6 players when i do get a Diamond..Giles,Perez,realmato,Soto,Kershaw and Rodon..gets frustrating..also seems like very few good cards in packs lately!1

There are 35 Live Diamond cards at this point and I believe somewhere around 300 packable Historic Diamond cards. If they are still going with a 70/30 ratio then we are about twenty times as likely to pull any given Live Diamond than we are to pull a particular Historic Diamond.
