The Experts expect us to finish 4th in the AL East with a record of 67-95.

Our owner hopes we can play closer to .500 and that is my goal as well.

Predictions

AL Division Winners - Yankees, Royals, Rangers
AL Wild Cards - Red Sox, White Sox

NL Division Winners - Phillies, Pirates, Diamondbacks
NL Wild Cards - Mets, Dodgers

Top AL Hitter - Pedro Rodriguez, Red Sox
Top AL Pitcher - Bill O'Brian, Royals

Top NL Hitter - David Dahl, Rockies
Top NL Pitcher - Julio Saurez, Phillies

(We tried to sign Suarez but couldn't swing it.)

They also say we have the second worst Minor League system, which is pretty bad when you are also a bad team.

Go me.

What an exciting Opening Day!

Patrick Norwood pitched well but the Twins tied it up late to force extra innings.

Minnesota took the lead in the 12th but then Leonard O'Neill singled and D.J. Hicks homered to give Toronto a 5-4, walk-off win!

Iolana Akau also homered for the Jays.

WP - Elvin Chaney (1-0)
LP - Jose Torres (0-1)

Record - 1-0
