Importing my Rangers rebuild. Made some pretty decent trades and unloaded some salary to set me up for maybe a couple key free agents. I’m in desperate need of pitching. Finishing my season and should be just in time to import my game (Jan 1) into the new version

I will run my Reds on a more or less real-time basis, playing out each game.
I will also run a couple fictional leagues GM-only at a much faster pace. I had played around previously with a fictional universe where the 1994 strike broke baseball and I re-organized it into a 4 tier pro-rel set up, using existing teams and a player draft. This went well for about 7 years, but then something glitched and I couldn't get past the draft. The game hung up and wouldn't progress. I think I will do something like that but do a post-Covid breakup/re-align with the new MiLB system. Easier without all the layers of Minors from before. I also tend to do a fictional MLB clone (the quickstart US baseball league, normally), pick a team and run it until a championship, then quit it and take over a struggling team and try to do the same. I usually manage 15-20 years before I get tired of it.

Last year I ran with the Tigers, and that was pretty fun and challenging.
I'm considering rolling with the Red Sox this year. I never do the AL East, and I really disagree with the Red Sox's moves over the last couple years. It might be fun to steady the ship, but will likely get too easy too quickly. Also considering the Giants, Angels, Pirates, Reds. Might peruse farm systems in game before deciding. |

I’ll be importing my StrangeVerse save and doing an Ms save for sure. Cincy could be fun too.

Man, after reading the Red Sox article in the Baseball Perspectus preview they are out, lol.
I’m thinking about taking the Reds and moving the offense away from 3 true outcomes to high contact, high speed, small ball tactics. |

Almost always start with a random minor league team a season or 2 before an expansion year. (ie 1975 for 1977), then take over the Expansion team before expansion, see how long it takes before building a winner.
I find the game too easy at times, and eventually every franchise i start with will win a championship. (some within 3 years). I find it boring winning all the time. Have more fun trying to keep a struggling team afloat, reach .500. |

I've decided, based on nothing, that Nick Senzel is a HOFer and his ratings will prove it minutes after my first league starts. And a very vigorous and focused spring training might suddenly lead to a resurgence in contact and power for Joey Votto. That's the great thing about this game...anything can happen |

2021 Braves but since I live in southern New Hampshire, I've thought about giving the Tony Conigliaro era Red Sox an spin to see how his career turns out.

For a challenge, I recently started a GM only game where I controlled the 1960 Washington Senators with the trading difficulty set to average.
Last place and we lost 100 games in my first year, but to my amazement the 1961 season is now mid-June and the Nats are in third place just a few games behind the Twins and the Yankees ! Looking forward to continuing this in 22

This will be the fourth year in a row I start my first franchise of the game with the Mariners. I am far and beyond the most excited for the task this year. Between the Astros and As getting worse on paper and the Rangers looking to have another down year I should be able to quickly turn all of the Mariners youth and great farm system into playoff wins.

I'll start with the same two teams as I have since about OOTP 11/12. Texas Rangers in a now 100 season league, and Colorado Rockies in a separate 77 season league.

I have a 32 team fictional league, USBL, that I have all planned out. I will simulate from 1980 through the 2020 season and then will decide which team to take over as GM only.

Importing my Islanders dynasty, of course.
I also have a Maine state league I've been noodling around with, so I'll probably bring that over too.

Here is a screenshot of the standings and Playoff tree. If you thought the AL East has some heated rivalries, the Pacific Asian Division has teams from Japan, North Korea, South Korea and China in it.
