The completely **** Raccoons plunge back to Silver after losing 101 games. Doesn't matter who's pitching - everybody takes it straight in the kisser. SE Randy Johnson is just as useless a mook as any live gold I might throw in. My hitting's no better though...

The 86-76 Mets somehow slithered into a wild card.

You know... I wouldn't be ALL mad if they just lost their wild card game rather than being promoted to Silver again... The offense was pathetic, and the pitching barely adequate.

And I really need to drown Mel Ott in a lake. Jesus H. Christ, what are those stats!!??

Paragon City Heroes 77-85, division was tough, but not helped by a 2 month stretch in which we went a pathetic 16-34, we are definitely not the boys of summer. Despite playing for a month Fred Lynn was 3rd on the team in WAR at 2.0. Maddux still continues to produce regardless of how bad we are going 16-9

San Angeles 70s 66-96 (with a -10 pythag) was good enough for relegation, seemed to be a strong league, minimum of 90 games needed for a playoff spot.

Lowdown Lugnuts 104-58 was just good enough to win the division, but we generated very little PP over the course of the season, the downside of being a defence/speed/pitching team. Andre Dawson went 27HR/25SB, Greinke had most wins with 19. carlos Beltran had 18 homers, 61 steals and a lot of errors at CF, he may need to move on for a better option at CF

Mount Hawke managed to squeak into it's 1st diamond wc in D.351, in a bit of a case of the last team standing . Went 0-15 against Antarctica with a -95 run diff, 8-22 combined against Steelport and Motor City with a -98 run diff. Against everyone else, 69-48 +124. It's pretty hard to look at my player's stats and have any idea how good or bad they were .

No playoffs for me this season.

White Tigers faded down the stretch and finished at 86-76, which was 17 games back of the second wild card who won 103 games. One of the division winners only won 80. Black Knights finished at 71-91 and Sun Kings finished at 64-98, the latter will be relegated from Diamond.

PT20 White Tigers finished with 90 wins, 3 games out of the wild card, breaking a streak of I think 16 or 17 straight playoff appearances. PT20 Black Panthers missed the playoffs with 79 wins. PT20 Golden Lions had 86 wins to finish in a 3-way tie for the second wild card, won the first play-in game, lost the second to finish at 87-77.

I have come to the conclusion that there are quite a few very competent rightfielders to replace Ott that would even fit the theme. Peak Carl Furillo, Willie Keeler, and Mike Tiernan would all be a more balanced card that should to rather well at BRONZE LEVEL.

Problem is that the Giants card needs one productive week of points saving, and the Dodgers cards need at least two. And my offense is never productive, being weighed down by a giant Mel Ott-shaped millstone.

I don't get it. He was a great card in PT 20...

It would help if the team would ever win anything in a tournament. I don't beleaguer the tournament screen but I usually enter them into a set of three at least once a day. They have won a total of..... 200 PP. (Coons: 3 packs, 1k PP)

Maybe it's just me. I want big league success, while giving it a short-season A-ball effort.

That's enough whining for today.

Lowdown sweep their way to the sub league series where they face a tough match up vs a very heavy collection team that led the league in most offensive categories.

Bay City Boomers won 3-1 by scoring heavily in the 3 wins and none in the loss. facing the no1 pitching LA Bears who also feature a pretty heavy collection based lineup, could be a really tight one, my home park is max offence so having home field advantage may play its part

Paragon City Heroes spent their last 20k on packs, got perfect Gerrit Cole so opened another 20 and got 94 Bench, 140k later we look like we'll get a couple of nice upgrades next season

More details coming in the weekly blog tomorrow, but the Trojans just won their first OOTP21 championship (won gold level). The World Series was just starting but I had to leave my computer to watch my youngest daughter's virtual graduation ceremony. By the time I got back now, the Trojans swept the competition to win the series. Pretty cool day if you ask me!

Not exactly the playoff field I'm excited to see, but fate even smiles on the unluckiest of us sometimes. Congrats to all in D352 after a very spirited week!

As predicted earlier this week, it would seem that streak is about to end. With 3 games left against the Whitefish Bay Dukes, the Red Raiders are in the Relegation Zone, tied with the Utah Stingers but, due to losing our lone series against them 2 games to 1, on the wrong side of the tiebreaker.

If this is it, it's been one helluva run. And it will be interesting to see how Huntley fares in Gold; the boys finished 85-77 and out of the playoffs (and barely in the Promotion Zone) in our one season at that level.

See you all on the other side...

2028 was a marked improvement from 2027 for all three teams, though none took home the championship.

The Chickaluma Cluckers, who just avoided relegation with a 72-90 record in 2027, improved to a wildcard and a 96-66 record in the Bronze League on the strength of a revamped rotation of Blyleven, Giolito, Johnson, Lyons, and Wainwright, while new additions Grandal, Kiner, and Billy Williams added the needed thump to create a well-balanced team that ranked 7th in offense and 8th in pitching. The team fell one game short of the championship series with a 4-3 loss in the sub-league series against their division rivals, the Singapore Slingers, who went on to win the championship. The Cluckers' goal for the 2029 Silver League is to improve at first base, outfield, and the pen.

The Trollskull Alley Irregulars, who just missed the Iron League wildcard in 2027, prepared for the 2028 Bronze League season with the addition of Randy Johnson at starting pitcher and Dale Murphy at centerfield. Both moves proved to be genius, as the pair walked away with pitcher of the year and most valuable player, respectively, while leading the team to a division-leading 103-59 record. Johnson, along with mid-season additions Blyleven and Lyons, helped lead the staff to the eighth best in the league, while Murphy and perennial MVP candidate Joe Morgan paced the third best offense. The Irregulars were eliminated in the divisional playoffs by the surprising wildcard Kennett Square Mushroom Caps, who went on to win the championship. The Irregulars' plan for the 2029 Silver League is to improve at first base, third base, and the pen.

Los Plagas Perros, who also just missed the playoffs in 2027 but were promoted, entered the 2028 Silver League season expecting to finish in the cellar, but found themselves leading the division for almost the entire season, finishing in first with a 94-68 record. The staff continue to perform at a high level, ranking third in the league, with fan favorite Preacher Roe putting together another outstanding season and new addition Mike Mussina dominating down the stretch. One of the weaker offenses in the 2027 Bronze League, the team added several position players, including Carl Yastrzemski, Robinson Cano, and Ichiro Suzuki, who brought them to the league average. In a recurring theme, los Perros were defeated in the sub-league series by the Toronto Goldeyes, who went on to win the championship series. Los Perros plan for the 2029 Gold League season is to improve at the outfield, third base, catcher, and the pen.

Congratulations on your win! I wanted to beat the Sluggers to have the honour of finally meeting (and losing), but I guess I'll have to wait...

Your graphic showing the Frogs beating the Singapore Sluggers is clearly a doctored image. Seriously.
