I had a long "discussion" with Tusso online, which the exact contents I will not divulge here as I am a man of my word. But he decided to inform me as to why these players are edited.

Apparently, he did not agree with players, especially prospects losing talent in development, did not agree with the way that prospects were "patched" (I assume that to mean imported), and that the players were unreallistic.

Apparently players are edited league wide, only one player per team.

I tried to convince him that it was still "cheating" because what is to stop him from "feeling" that his player shouldn't rated 4 or 5 points higher than other teams players.

Of course he argued that he was in third, so he couldn't be cheating, and that editing players was in no way, no matter how he did it, ever unfair or dishonest.

He also instructed to go look up the word cheater. That is where the conversation stopped being so civil.

His entire argument was that I, and no one on this board, know anything because we are not in the league, and that we should all join (even though the league is full) to see that he is a great commish.

He did offer to fold the league if anyone could ever "prove" that he was doing anything fishy. Anyone up for taking him up on his offer?

When I was in this league, I actually didnt think it was that bad. I even tried to get back into it when my computer broke down, and succeeded. I never wanted to accuse anyone of anything, but I did notice some strange ratings developments. I guess what I thought was true, this guys a cheater.

And this is very entertaining

My question to you is that why did you join in the first place, knowing that the commissioner has been put into pressure in the past couple of months?

I actually was an original member. And I had never heard of the commish when I joined, I think I was lured in by the player pics.

Alright. This is getting good now.

A couple of things though.

"Apparently, he did not agree with players, especially prospects losing talent in development"

1) None of the players he edited on his team took talent hits. Matter of fact, he just changed ratings on Hart.

"Apparently players are edited league wide, only one player per team."

2) He has now edited 4 different players on his team.

"Apparently players are edited league wide, only one player per team."

3) This is just not so. Here is the ratings reports from Seattle from before the first sim, and after the last:
http://www.sportplanet.com/sbb/mlb/temp/team13rr.htm
http://www.sportplanet.com/sbb/mlb/t...13rr_may31.htm

Now, to claim that "editing" players, does not constitute cheating is the most ignorant statement I have ever heard.

I think I have more than proved, he is editing multiple players on his team, while not doing the same for others.

What exactly is the criteria? He wakes up in the morning and says, Jason Hart needs to have a 9 in HR's instead of 6 (although "realistically" he's in AAA)

And I think that we on this board have forgotten more than Tusso will ever forget.

Anyone else curious why he keeps pushing for us to joing the league?

Also, I have a couple more teams ratings reports for "proof". I took one from each division! (Man I need to find a job)

Meet jpenn44, the OOTP Online League Private Investigator.

.400 should hire you. Your job would be like one of the investigators that insurance companies have. You could investigate online league fraud.

Sweet Ideas...I think I see a job opportunity here...now to just come up with a catchy name!

What I find interesting is, if someone was dragging my name though the mud, I would be fighting like crazy to prove my innocence.....unless of course I am truly guilty ;-)

From seeing Bravo's posts so far, it doesn't seem like he has any affiliation with JBlaze, so try not to jump to conclusions.
Thanks DWolf!! I never thought of that but if you do look at my posts I think it does seem pretty obvious that I am a legitimate newbie (who pokes fun at himself a lot....like saying that he himself would probably be a dumb tit due to his newbishness). If that guy is a cheater (and I don't know anything about him but what you guys posted here and I am NOT quick to judgement) I probably wouldn't even notice it...EVEN if I was in his league....THAT is how newbish I still am.

I was just curious how online cheating is possible....didn't seem possible to me....but now that I know you can edit players as a commish it all seems clear....cheating is possible. FOR THE RECORD: As a player of couple of online games, RTCW most notably (even in a clan/team for online competition) I absolutely ABHOR cheating....totally ruins the game. (*disclaimer.....that last comment is not in any way saying that I think tusso is a cheater NOR is it saying I think he is not a cheater....I don't know anything about him so I cannot judge.....same way I wouldn't judge any of you guys based on what someone else might say....not until I see it for myself.)

It's not my fault! LoL!

Okay, I just wanted to post a few quick thoughts here. SOME of us have been off the board (and the internet altogether) for awhile, and have no idea who is who now-a-days.

Personally.. yep. I joined WSBL. Why am I still in it? I don't like to quit leagues. It goes against my morals. Plus.. I find the extra challenge of beating a commish that may (or may not) cheat to be fun. Hehe. Hell, I'm in the National League.

Only problem for me is that only a couple of the other guys are active in the WSBL.

I knew Pat Casey though.. unfortunately. Back in Suicide Squeeze Baseball League. He had some real trouble with numbers, that kid. His Giants had Bonds and Burks cut, if I remember correctly, because he was around 10 million over the cap.

Sad, sad. But seriously.. not all of us are stupid. Some are just ignorant, due to extended internet abscences. I will say that Tusso types a bit better than Pat Casey, but you never know.. he may have some sort of online "Word of the Day" calendar. =)

Looking at the league, and speaking to a few owners, it seems the league restarted. You probably all knew this, but I dont look here in the online leagues section much. So anything I said was about the old GM, jblaze. Im not sure if he and tusso are the same person, but they seem to follow the same "house rules".
