For the pages with stats I like the white background.

the background is my least favorite part of the classic skin. I dont like how the other skins change the interface colors depending on team color. Classic skin never changes.

The background is a big part of what defines the different skins. You can choose to use the OOTP20 Skin if you like plain backgrounds. You can choose to not use the team colours.

For those that enjoyed the Classic Background and skin, we lost our choice.

Is there any way of checking what version you're running without quitting to the start screen? Like what you usually get with Help ->>> About menu item in most other programs?

Don't think it's possible. There is an option in the Menu under "File", "Help" check for Game updates.

Not exactly what you're looking for but would let you know if you had the latest version.
