Thanks for the patch, is the ability to edit text without the whole line deleting first and the ability to paste text into the game going to added in another patch?

Doh. Does this mean I lose all my careers that I've started? And I've never unlicensed OOTP before, how do I go about doing it?

the unlicense function should be in your control panel - there should be an eLicense icon there.

Is the elicen40.dll in the OOTP directory? Or in the /windows/system or /windows/system32 directory? Did you put your new OOTP5.exe into the folder where the old one was?

I overwrote my OOTP5.exe with the patched version which was in my OOTP5 folder. I can't seem to find the elicen40.dll.

OOTP 5.0 loaded fine on my Dell 1.5Ghz, 256MB, GeForce 4 with latest Det. drivers, with both sound and direct 3D enabled. (Edit: Win XP Home, if that matters)

I replaced the OOTP.Exe with the patched version, and now when I double-click the icon, the hard drive spins (light comes on) for about 15-20 sec, but nothing comes up on the screen. The light then goes off as if nothing ever happened.

I tried various combinations of Direct 3D and sound enable/disabled, but the program still doesn't load.

Ideas? I'm going to uninstall completely, wipe the directory, and try a fresh install (btw, is the current download still 5.0 or 5.01 now?). I'll update how it goes.

I concur with KCRoyalsFan. The hitting streaks should reset at the start of each season unless the player is continuing that streak.

you should be able to do what I said and just back up your league folders, and your create folder, then after you reinstall copy those over

Will we be able to edit stadiums for CPU teams in manager mode? Fictional Leagues start everyone with "Old League Park" and it would be nice to not play half your games in your home park and the other half in your "home away from home", Old League Park.

Is this something that is going to be corrected when manager mode becomes more "flexible"?

missing the point.

the Hitting Streak in the League Leaders screen now show us the league leaders for the SEASON.

Previously we would see the active hitting streaks. So if Player A was at 10 games and that currently led the league, he would be on top of the list.

Now, with the update, the top three on the league leaders screen will always be the top three until a player passes them for the season.

Not active, but instead overall.

I posted this in the troubleshooting forum a few days ago but maybe it got missed. When you add a player to the player tracker during the ammy draft he doesnt get added.

I know but I said that the season started with several players with 20-30 hitting streaks. Are those current from last year? Or why would they be there.

and about the contract thing...
So your telling me if I was a real life GM and I have a 5 star player who has been playing with me since I drafted him, and tells me he really likes it here and wants to play here next year and we sit down and talk and I throw an offer at him (say hes making $7,000,000) and I offer him $7.5 mil and he says no more money, then I offer 8 mil and he says no, more money, and then i offer 8.5 mil and he says i'm leaving bye bye...
I don't think that would happen in a real negotiation.

Well, uninstalling / wiping / fresh install + patch seemed to do the trick. I didn't see any option to unlicense after uninstalling, and after reinstalling, I wasn't asked to provide the license, so maybe that part isn't necessary.
