FWIW... I (and some others) had a similar problem after an earlier patch. The advice was to make sure all drivers were updated and, at least for me, it solved the problem. Worth a try I think.

Did the new patch do anything with international amateur demands? Because in the first player pool I've seen since the update, player demands are significantly lower than usual across the board.

Just found it: Game Settings -> League Settings -> Stats & AI
Scroll down: General AI Roster Settings.
Make sure you select on the upper right of the screen which league you want to make changes to first.

No - I don't believe it has anything to do with the Rule V process. These teams do have minor league affiliates. I started my historical league in 1969; and have seen several players drafted, sign a minor league contract - play one season for the team that drafted them and without being traded or waived - they sign with another team the next year; they are not released either. Last one I noticed was Ron Guidry - drafted 1971 round 1, #7 overall by the Cincinnati Reds; one year later he is a free agent. This is not right!

Try playing with Rule 5 off. This issue has reappeared since I did that. Rule 5 appears to be fubared in every way possible.

Also, I am getting no more notifications when I have made an offer to an International Amateur, and that offer is later topped by another team. A pain to have to revisit these players every couple game days to see where my offer stands.

What drivers are we talking about? I bought 17 this year and the sound was fine until the latest patch. Something in the patch took out part of the sound effects. If somebody can provide me with a walk through with detailed instructions, I'll give it a try.

Looks like early historical games are listing all players as eligible for the Rule 5 draft, so superstars are changing teams in the offseason. Markus said to disable it for historical games until they can patch it.

I believe it got broken in the .65 patch, but should be fixed in the hotfix.

As far as I'm aware, there are some minor issues, but nothing that should cause problems for the vast majority of leagues.

We will still issue a maintenance patch at some point, however that likely will not come out for another couple weeks, just to be sure that we catch the last of the issues.

I downloaded the latest update yesterday. Since then every time I play the game, it crashes before the second inning.

I'm extremely frustrated and would like to know how I can uninstall this update.

That is likely not related to the update. If you would upload your league files (How to FTP files to OOTP Developments - Powered by Kayako Help Desk Software), we can investigate why your game may be crashing.

first of all, i'd follow Matt's suggestion and FTP him your files
..... but if you really want to undo this update and install an older one there is a way.

i'd follow Matt's advice first, as he MAY be able to isolate the issue. The fact he's willing to work with you and save any potential issues with a reinstall (esp. if you don't have an older saved game), is pretty impressive, knowing he's doing it on his own time most likely.
