I've done further checking and think 17 will run. No new computer in sight though. Bunches of things calling for my money right now and the money goes to what's truly broken.

I've run a couple games of 7 or 8 season with historical first and development after that. I think that's the right amount of "fog of war" for the game.I certainly don't want to know when a player is coming up on a couple spectacular years or a couple of bad ones.
