Not entirely sure. The bottom of the email says I received it because I receive email messages from MLB.com partners. Advertisers, I guess. Probably the kind of thing that if I realized I was on such a list, I would have unsubscribed and not have gotten it either! :P

Something else I just realized... the actual email address this was sent to is my Facebook email address, which I never use. Now I'm really puzzled. I have no idea how MLB got it.

edit: Maybe because I follow the Giants' official FB page.

I am a current MLB.tv subscriber & haven't seen anything in my inbox yet.

I assume it will take some time. It takes us more than a few hours to send our newsletters out, and we don't have nearly the same amount of subscribers.

A shame they used the Rays screen shot.... and I say this as a former Rays season ticket holder and fan!

Go to email subscriptions in your profile. I was not checkmarked for any of them. It is mildly disturbing that I'm doing this voluntarily.

I got a feeling a complimentary copy was sent.

Hopefully with increased profits we can swing the MLB Players Association photos next year. That would be cool.

installer won't run

I downloaded patch 2 and tried installing it, but it never gets past the first screen where it asks me if I want to run this file (and, yes, I do click on "run"). It just disappears and never gets to the next screen. I re-downloaded patch 2 thinking there was something wrong with the first download but have the same issue. Anyone else having this problem? I didn't have this problem when I downloaded and installed patch 1.

I checked technical support and didn't see anyone else posting this issue.

You have to wait. Sometimes I wait a long time for an installer to run. Alternatively, restart your computer to reduce the waiting time.

Try running it as admin. If this does not work, shut off all programs in the background, also virus scanners etc. Also, reboot your system prior to doing this. If this still does not work, file a support ticket, please.

I am running as admin with everything else shut off. I'll try again after rebooting. Thanks.

I waited quite awhile but I'll try rebooting to see if that works. Thanks.

Reboot worked. I should have known that the best remedy for any computer problem (i.e., reboot) would work. Thanks again. I'm off to start my 2015 Twins season, hopefully keeping us under 90 losses.

Kudos well deserved, but All Star bug still appears.

I installed Patch 2, played a couple of weeks and Stephen Strasburg still wants to be the #1, #2 and #3 starter in the All Star Game. Naturally, Matt Williams disagrees, but...
