A question about the draft classes: if I import my league from OOTP 15, which is presently entering the 2017 season, will the 2017 draftees enter the pool, or is that only for new starts?

The Meet the Team page looks great. Minor detail for some, but having the position overview and such on a screen that loads quicker will be very helpful to me.

Nicely done again guys.

After last year's admittedly clunky 3D feature, I definitely thought it was going to be at least a couple versions before I bothered checking out, but that Progressive Field screenshot looks SO good that I can't imagine just playing with pictures anymore. Kudos to whoever got to work on those.

Wondering if all the ball flight paths have been adjusted properly for all the different screen resolutions for the 3D parks?

Sure No need to do that, the 3D engine takes care of all that...

Heh, I've often wondered about that, myself. The theory I came up with is, they want to reassure themselves about their decision to pass on the opportunity. That's if they are well-meaning and not just trolls. The well-meaners have my respect and I wish them well in return.

Player likenesses are controlled by the MLB Players Association, requiring a second license.

Or they think they can't afford it when all they have to do is skip a few movies or beers and they can then buy it. Certainly worth the effort considering the many hours of enjoyment they will get from OOTP16, 17, 18,19,20....

I skipped 15 as well (the only skip) and have been loyal fan since 2004. I think this is the most excited I have been for a new release. The live scores in 13 (or was it 14?) were big but it seems to be quite a few nice features in this version. Can't wait.

Are there both open- and closed-roof versions of ballparks with retractable roofs?

Will there be an easy way to have all the cool license stuff but fill the teams with fictional players?

Another question-I haven't played historical leagues before. Do the leagues evolve automatically to reflect the stats of the era? IE...will 1968 be a huge pitchers year....and automatically increase offense in later seasons?

Yeah, you can just delete all the real players from the default MLB and auto fill the rosters with fictional players.

I would assume so - nothing stopping you from starting a historical or current day league and dumping all the players and filling the teams with fictional guys.

Yes you can mimic history with auto evolution with fictional players or real players and 68 would be a big pitching year and the steroid era will see a bump in homeruns.

I can't wait to play this year's game. It's going to be fun to just jump right in. I usually spends hours fiddling with logos and jerseys, and won't have to do much of that now. Ausgezeichnet!
