To help pass the time, I thought it would be fun to celebrate some of our greatest OOTP players.

Mine would probably be Cristian Espinoza.

He only missed 3 games in his entire career and still managed to be near the top in league batting average.

He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. Here are his career stats (pay special attention to 2026, the year he won the Triple Crown):

Not bad for an amateur international free agent I picked up for $840,000.

I was thinking the same exact thing when I put that Ripken pic up. I rarely see a guy even play 162 in this game, so I imagine "The Streak" is 159.

It was fun keeping track of the longest played streak in my EBL league which stands at 759 games or so.
Thought this was a cool #7.

For one magic summer, this guy was both the king and jester of baseball. We couldn't take our eyes off him. Baseball should could use a colorful character like this today. RIP Bird.

Actually Davis was drafted by the Mets, 3rd round, 62nd overall in the regular phase of the 1976 January Draft... as a First Baseman

Somewhere around 1,100. Don't know the exact number, because I didn't track the start of it (for obvious reasons).

And that's not some PH appearances here or there. That's 1,100-some STARTS. Every day, every night, at first base. He was wrecked at 33, but he still made the Hall of Fame.

And no, OOTP16 won't release tomorrow.
