Game 1

Wai Ngan Chan had another poor start in tournament play. He allowed 5 earned runs in this game.
Game 2

Lu Nanwei hits 2 home runs in this game, both of them 3 run home runs, in TOP 3rd, and TOP 4th. Harbin Starter Shohei Otani pitched a 4 hit shutout in this game.
Game 3

Leng Keli has not won in tournament play, being 0-2 with a ERA over 17. In this game, he allowed 3 runs. Though pitched better than his previous 2 starts, he was outdueled by Yoriie Yasuda, who allowed only 1 run in 7 innings.
Game 4

The only run scored in this game was a Wild Pitch on the very first pitch from Jiangsu reliever Zhou Yegun. Before the wild pitch, Wai Ngan Chan allowed the go ahead runner with 2 singles and a walk. Similar to the Ming tournament, a Chan loss eliminated Jiangsu. Kenjiro Yamazawa allowed 3 hits and no runs in 8 innings.

Kunming (Qin) Vs. Shanghai Eagles (Ming)
Game 1

Eagles Pitcher Michinori Murakami struck out 13 in 7.2 Innings. He allowed 5 hits and no runs in his start. Xiong Yijun broke the scoreless tie with a 2 run home run in TOP 7th.
Game 2

Isoruko Takahashi of Kunming and Dai Zhuotao both hit 2 home runs in this game. There were a total of 8 home runs hit. Ling Weiying only lasted an inning.
Game 3

The series heads to Shanghai Stadium. Xiong Xingyi pitched 10 innings in his last start in the Ming Tournament. In this game, he struck out 13 in 8 innings.
Game 4

Kiyuichi Miura would hit a 3 run home run in BOT 2nd. Michinori Murakami struck out 14 in 8 innings. The Eagles advance to the finals to face Harbin.

Game 1

3 Harbin Home runs and a good start from their ace Shohei Otani (7 IP 3 H 1 ER 7 K) help Harbin win the first game of the Emperor's Cup final.
Game 2

Leng Keli had another poor start. He allowed 5 earned runs and a 2 run home run by Thung Mac in TOP 3rd. So far in Tournament play, Leng has allowed 18 earned runs in 16 innings.
Game 3

Kenjiro Yamasawa's start only lasted 4 innings, because he had to leave with shoulder discomfort. Michinori Murakami allowed 4 ER in this game, all coming in BOT 5th. He struck out 9 in this game.
Game 4

When the Eagles scored 4 runs in this game, Harbin was leading by 12. In BOT 1st, Harbin scored 5 runs from BACK TO BACK TO BACK TO BACK HOME RUNS!

Game 5

Harbin claimed the Emperor's Cup on a walk off Grand Slam in the 10th by Lu Jinbei.

Harbin Ace Shohei Otani pitched a NO HITTER in the Grand Final to claim the Chinese New Year Cup. This marks the 2nd time a 1st seed won the tournament.

The CBA will have 4 tiers of Promotion and Relegation. The new league will be known as the Xia League. It will be placed below the Qin League and will have a reputation of 3. As a result, the bottom 4 teams in the Qin League will be relegated to the Xia League. There will be a tournament known as the Tournament of the Xia Emperor "Xia Tournament", in which the participants will be promoted to the Qin league. This tournament will be a best of 5. For the 3rd to 6th place team, there will be the Xia Cup, in which 4 teams play in this tournament for the right to get promoted to the Qin League. The finalists are promoted while the winner takes the trophy.

All 10 expansion teams will start in the Xia League. The cities awaiting a team will be announced later in the year. The league will start play in 2018.

The new stadiums that the Electrics and the Beidong will be playing is nearing completion. Harbin Dome will be an air inflated dome, similar to the Tokyo Dome in Japan, while Shenyang Dome will use the design almost similar to the Osaka Dome. These teams will expect to play in these new domes starting in 2018.

These stadiums are built in response to the 2016 Chinese New Year Cup, where in Harbin, temperatures would be too cold for baseball. There are even players and fans who sustained frostbite during the games. Shenyang average temperature in Febraury is also well below freezing.
