Yeah, for 36 teams, I can't believe how phenomenal that league is. Plus, no offense to anyone else, but the FOBL is the only league I've seen with that measure of owner participation. I can go there any day, make a post and within fifteen minutes, be mocked, spat upon, kicked in the groin, and publicly humiliated by no more than four or five of the owners. You can't find that type of hospitality in many other leagues.

We do what we can.

In fairness though, the website design and maintenance is not Subby's. He does provide us with regular power rankings and centralized team development reports, among other things, but credit (or blame) for the website itself goes almost entirely to Buddy Grant (with fomer FOBLer Fritz getting special mention for his work on logos and other graphics).

Check out the NCBL. It doesn't have as much going on as a lot of league sites, but I think it definitely has a unique look. Also, check out the news wire. There's always some good stuff up there.

I love threads like this because you can see what else is out there. Have to say I'm very impressed with the NexGen site - nice work! I've always followed and admired the CBL site - that's probably one of the best leagues out there.

That being said, it's time for a shameless plug for the ATHL:

I agree with that. I hate websites that are to "busy". The RWBL is nice looking, quick loading, and easy to navigate. Perfect in my opinion.

I like the layout, color scheme and load time, but once you scroll down, all you see is words. It's almost like having the opposite, not thing but pictures and graphics. They're both bad in different ways. You want to even it out so the articles you have don't look so overwhelming. You want to break up the page with assorted graphics. Not too many though. Check out pages like the sporting news and espn for examples. It just makes it more asthetically pleasing while bringing all the information you need to your audience.

Just put a couple player pictures, logos, photos, etc here and there and you'll have a great site.

I still contend that CBL is the best at this.

After looking at all the fantastic sites that are out there, I'm almost ashamed to mention mine. But it also motivates me to improve mine. For now it's perfect for me, though, because it's low maintenance. If I had more time, I'd probably put more into it, but I like the look of the main page and I have a few pages like the ballpark factors page which are nice to look at. The picture on the main page changes every season, which is kind of fun. I'm thinking of adding an archives section and featuring all the main pages I've used so we can keep track.

It's called Diamond Kings Baseball. Here's a link www.seamheads.com

The North American Marlon Brando Lookalikes Association has been doing good work for years.

CBL

Hands down. I manage a group of developers and hands down, CBL rocks. Ive asked Chaco if he ever considered moving to FL from Spain for a web job, and he'd rather travel the world and snap photos. Geez some life, but Ill take the icing on the cake.

CBL

Great story also behind the CBL, roughly 40-50% of us are from another PRE-OOTP league that used Front Page Sports Baseball, the UCBL.. So we've been simming together for close to 7-8 years.

Anyway.... GO Daytona Beach FatBoys!

Rally Balls in 2012!

ah, Brian Jordan speaks the truth.

The CBL, organized from the old UCBL, has now been around a very long time.

I remember WAAAAY back in late 1999 - early 2000 when the UCBL owners had to choose at the time which program to use for the new CBL league-
OOTP2 or High Heat.

Looks like we made the right choice

Wow guys, some of these sites look professional! Check out my site, it took about 15 minutes to make, there's plenty of dead links and flash text is abundant. Ok don't go to my site because it really sucks but I wanted to say that every site listed here is totally awesome, I wish I had the time and ability to program like you'all. Thanks!
