I'm referring to builds/patches as "stable", if they are not explicitly labeled "beta". Meaning those builds should have been tested by the beta team extensively in order to call them stable enough for release.

Unfortunately, OpenGL is not something which is dependable to work on all sorts of systems, we had to learn it the hard way. Currently 3D in OOTP is in a state where it works flawlessly for 99% of the people (including the beta testers and all of our test machines), and it is very hard for us to find the reason why it does not for the remaining 1%. We have not given up, but it is a very slow process... most likely these issues are driver-related or somehow something in the system conflicts with the OOTP OpenGL implementation.

Unhappy I got 3D problems with the last patch with my custom stadiums by Silvam

Silvam made us some custom 3D stadiums since the first release of Version 15 and I used his stadiums exclusively with no problems until the second to last patch came out. Upon patching the game I noticed all the pitches were being thrown outside of the strike zone even though they were called strikes etc. This never happened before. I posted my problem on the Forum and a fellow member stated he had not experienced the same problem but suggested I use the default stadium instead. I did and I saw the same outside the strike zone pitches. I disabled the 3D and began playing the game in 2D until the final patch came out. I patched the game with the final patch in high anticipation my problem would be corrected but it was not. Now all the Silvam stadiums were totally out of alignment and all my once-saved camera angles for each stadium were changed. When I activated the "players enter on" and then "exit off" the field the players were totally out of place off and on! I followed the 3D manual instructions hoping to realign the custom stadium to be correct but with great difficulty I was unable to get the players or stadium coordinates aligned correctly. I can, however, use the 3D default stadium and it is properly aligned. I just don't understand why the final patch corrupted all the custom stadiums coordinates for me. I guess I could try and reload the game and not do all the patching and stop with the last patch that didn't corrupt the stadiums and alignments. This whole 3D idea for OOTP15 was a big selling feature for me to purchase this game version this year like some of the other game owners have stated and I feel let down. I've stated in an early post I made back when the game came out this year that the concept of selling an unfinished product on the promise that further patching through the year will finish or almost finish a promised feature was a very unusual premise made by a game software company but I had faith and strong desire for the finished product that I was willing to go along with this "premise". I strongly hope OOTP16 is released with no similar plans to be completed with later patches but get released when ready. Maybe considerable play-testing of the "ending" product should be done before pushing the "ending" product out the door before it works. Software companies that have a history of putting out good finished products need to maintain that reputation at all costs because once you start putting out bad stuff we don't put out our "green stuff" like we did before. I still have faith in OOTP but now I have some concerns that I did not have before............................

Thank you. The latest patch fixes my 3d issues! Now if we can get the manual updated for the 3d editor?

Run this:

Download Driver Booster - MajorGeeks

It's free and safe and will update your drivers for you (Windows only).

I use it and liked it so much I bought the pro version.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Try to disable Antialiasing.
Go to

FILE < Settings < 3D&Facegen

set "Anti-Aliasing" to "disabled".

you can also try to disable Opengl Displaylists:

set "OpenGL display lists" to "Disable Opengl display lists (slow)"

Hope this solves your problem.
