Ok, so I was trying to sleep and I got an idea for this dynasty that might be fun. Now each league except for the NL/MLB will have fictional characters coming in each year and for the most part, it sucks because they are not well known and it makes the other leagues kinda boring. The NA will soon be joined by the AA, UA, PL and eventually the National Baseball League (for teams that were in the NL but didnt continue on) and in 1914, the FL. That is a lot of players that could be entering that will make it a lot less fun to read until we get some that we know.
SO................. I am thinking of several different way to add some spice. There have been dynasties in the past that allow us(those on the board) to add themselves and it gets people involved with the league and makes it fun, but it is a lot of extra work each year making up those players each spring and so forth so I am debating how best to do this. I want to add some of those who may read this and anyone else from the forums but I dont want to have everyone added all at once. I am considering do two things at once. I am going to add ten real, not rearl baseball players to each draft class. I am going to sort the list and take the top ten players avail and rename them to my fav celebrities and friends, people I know. But if enough show interest (wanted to do a poll in this thread but see no way to do it once the thread is going) I am planning to, say, take 5 forum users a league and 5 of my choosing each season. I may have to start a poll for this, just to keep this clean. BUt I hope everyone might be interested. Will include a poll link in my sig here shortly.

I will be adding 10 'famous' people to the 1878 fictional draft for the NA this afternoon when I run the league. I have downloaded lots of face gens and hope to have them look like who they are. I will include a special section for them at the end of the season. Should be late this afternoon or so.

Before I post this, I did add some 'famous' people, basically got the only face gen downloads I could find and am using them. For now, unless some interest is show from you guys of getting a player in the draft, I will be adding 10 'names' each offseason to the fictional drafts in the 'secondary' leagues. After this season, I will use 5 famous and 5 I know(sub board members here later I hope) and will do what I can to post them each preseason and offseason. Just adds a lot more posts but hey, I love this stuff, it adds a little depth to the dynasty.
Here is the predraft and draft info and our first ten guys. 1878 NL Predraft and Draft Rounds 1 and 2 1878 NA Predraft and Draft Round 1

Note about Mr Krueger, for the purposes of this dynasty, he looks that way do to a childhood accident, he was splashed with hot pig grease and was severely burned. More on the 1878 season as the night progresses. I have dinner to cook (my specialty - Pizza) and will be working on this all evening.

1878 Rookie End of Season Stats
On the pitchings side, not one of the rookies had a winning season but all did contribute to thier team. Krueger had the most wins with 15, while Hogg had the best ERA with 2.25 and Krueger had the most strike outs with 63. On the offensive side, Kix 'Boot Scootin' Brooks proved he deserved the Rookie of the Year, leading all the rookies in all categories. He played the most games, had the most at bats, the most hits, the most double, triple, homers, the most RBIs, the best AVG and the most SB. if this is just the begining, he might be a very awesome player to watch **** Since there is not much interest in others joinings, I am going to folllow these 10 for a bit before I bring in others. Just keeping the work to a minimum for now. Next, 1878 News and such, have a bit more to run off before the year is over.
