Though I couldn't but help think that historical seasons need the historical schedules. Has that been considered? I'd also mention the playoff scheduling as well—it ought to reflect the practices of the time and not simply overlay the modern playoff scheduling principles over top.

i hope they leave some of that stuff up to the modder ...it's quite the undertaking..

I would think (hope) the schedule file format itself is straightforward enough. As to the schedules themselves, the Hockeydb.com web site has the season schedule results presented in an online format that makes it easy to acquire the data. (I just now pulled up the schedule for the 1950-51 season from that site and copied it directly into Excel. Each column from the web page was a separate column in Excel, which is exactly what one would want. Once in Excel it should be a simple matter to adjust the data to whatever FHM's schedule file format happens to be.)

The schedule file format is pretty much the same as in OOTP, we just added a arena_id (e.g. Winter Classic). We have the original schedules for all years we support, as far as I know (Jeff made them) from the source you mentioned.
