This looks great Cody, pretty much exactly what I like in a league.

On the downside, I just started and got saddled with the 24th pick in the inaugural draft.

Hi guys, I updated this to fix the injuries being turned off. Also the owner patience stuff is fixed along with some other small issues - cash, fan interest levels, budgets, etc. Also I changed up a few logos and changed some stadium names to be more custom to the city the team is from.

Even though I am in the midst of my own fictional game, I might have to take a look at this...

I don't even play fictional and I think it's great.

Is this updated version the one we can now download through the Add-Ons central part of the game as well?

This looks great.. I might change a few team names around (Not a big fan of a team called the Strippers, to be honest!) .. But overall looks great.. Thanks so much for all your work on it!

A few more questions....

I appreciate the work that went into this league especially with having logos and jerseys for all AAA, AA and A teams and logos for all the rest of the minors .. That's something I typically don't take the time to do in my ficitonal leagues, but it's great.

However, playing this, I want to get the full use of the new OOTP 13 features so I'm looking to create another few leagues to go along with the FBL, so I can associate them. Probably an Asian league of some sort, perhaps an Australian league and maybe a European league. Will I be able to create these right off the start, or will I have to sim through the first season before I can do that? Any words of wisdom or warning before I do that, in order to not mess up any of the balance in the game world?

Other question is, I typically only play with 3 levels of minor... Am I able to delete the SSA and rookie leagues without any trouble?? Or since the player pool is already created, is this not advisable since there are a specicfic number of players designated for the numbers of teams and leagues?

Any help would be appreciated!

The updated one is not on the add-on list as far as I know.

Since it is the preseason you should be able to add/delete teams as much as you would like to and also be able to add leagues/associations.

As for the best way to delete the minor leagues you don't need. First, allow the teams to be drafted (once you have everything else in the game you want to change done). Then goto the the minor leagues you don't want. Click show all players. Then use the mass select button and delete the players from that league. You will need commish mode on to do this. That way when you delete the minor league, the players won't infiltrate you free agency area. Just rinse and repeat for each slot. As for the Strippers, I understand entirely I just couldn't think of a single thing that represented LA than Strippers (that, and I thought the logo was cool). Haha.

Haha yeah the logo is cool. I might also change the Vancouver Blizzard too... Canada is a snowy country in general but Vancouver/B.C definitely has some of the mildest winter weather in all of the country.

Thanks for your help!

I haven't played OOTP since 11 because my son stepped on my laptop screen last year and I haven't fixed it yet lol. I was using someones Fictional League in a Box file in 11 and had simmed 100+ years of history. I'm not sure that I want to carry that league over when I get 13. Is it possible to use this quickstart and then start a league from it beginning in the year 1900?

Cody: Try this logo for L.A.

S Logos :: sharks.png picture by silvam14 - Photobucket

Sharks>> Strippers.

There's a jersey logo to match.

I'm sure I could find quite a few people who would disagree with you there.

I can't remember because it feels like forever since I've got to play...I'm majorly interested in using this quickstart if I can create a league beginning in 1900 from it.

Teams on Caribbean islands and Mexico in 1900, given the transportation and civil unrest of the time? Not feasible. You'd sort of need to relocate some teams back to the mainland.

ok newbie question, sorry to be a bother, but I downloaded this (btw thanks for having a link here coz i have more trouble trying to get anything to download from add on central) Got it downloaded but not sure how to install.

I mean should I just copy over the folders and let it over write anything ? If so I also am playing an mlb qs, will I lose any of what I need for it if I let it over write ?
What about all the individual files in the zip, what or where do they go ?
Thank you for creating this I'm excited to start with a clean slate with it.

Thanks for any help...

Cody,

Still loving the league (made it to the World Series, despite having the final pick in the inaugural draft, but lost in game 6), but I have a quick question for you:

You mention that you used cities in the top 100 in North America, etc, but where did you get the information from. I'm working on a fictional league of my own (similar to yours, but I want mine to be world wide, with league associations for a true world series... I may end up needing a new HDD for the size of this project, lol), and am wondering what the most reliable information is for this stuff.

It self-installs. Just click the "install" button in your game's Download Central after you download it.
