San Jose might actually be happening, people.

A's Will Be Granted Permission To Move To San Jose, According To Report - Baseball Nation

I wish it was a for sure announcement but hopefully we'll know for sure soon.

If it's true, then Best. Christmas. Present. Ever.

I liked Landon. -Just not enough to give him more playing time. I do wish him the best though.

There isn't an emoticon that truly expresses the amount of joy that this news brings me.

Why? More money for the team to hopefully do better? I know nothing about the A's.

Basically, that's most of it. The other part of it is that they play in a dump of a stadium that they share with the Raiders. They have a hard time drawing fans, and free agents don't want to come either. So a new facility will help with both of those things, which in turn should equal more money and the ability to compete financially.

Makes sense, I am such a football guy that the market size/revenue situation of baseball is odd to me. Good for them if they can be competetive again.

Coco Crisp returns.

Pretty surprising. The only thing I can think of is that the A's have to spend all their revenue sharing money or MLB gets mad. And they really don't want MLB mad at them right now.

I hope there was an afro clause in the contract.

Yea, that is surprising. At least we have at least *some* continuity on this team.

Kinda surprising given the youth movement but then again I guess he's a place holder until we can call up a young SP in June/July and not start his arby clock

Yeah, I'm more OK with bringing in an old pitcher than an old position player.
