Lest anyone be tempted to complain that OOTP doesn't take customer feedback seriously, this is one that myself and others have been requesting for a while now. I'm glad Markus thought it was a good idea too

Thank you!

Yes, +1. He takes note of customer feedback because he wants to sell more games. Good business practice, despite some opinions to the contrary.

I am looking forward to seeing how the player dev screen looks. Be sure to incude that one among your screenies!
As a player of fictional leagues I like this suggestion.

Don't want to make a new thread about this, in case the feature is still in the game, and I look like a fool.

But, could you bring back the "so and so had their first major league hit off of 'so and so' on 6/7/2011"? Same for first homer? This used to be in OOTP6,5,4. But, unless I just don't see it anymore, it's been gone for several versions now. It's purely cosmetic, but I always thought it was a nice touch.

Exclamation

Vorfreude ist die schönste Freude? Interesting...

What's the German word for "taking joy in others' misery"?

Next, someone will be telling me "Good things come to those who wait..."

... which is also true... but... don't expect me, personally, to wait again with my receipt in my hand, nose pressed up against the glass... "Is it ready yet?!?"

In other words, "Promises, promises". (it helps if you sing it, for full effect)

Don't get me wrong. I'm very appreciative that this game exists and that Marcus comes down here and gets his elbows bloodied with the masses... and no, it's not about the screenshots...

It's about setting an expectation and then deciding to give something to the Apple crowd ("Another $50B for Jobs! Yay!") instead of rewarding the loyalists who've been building sweat equity into this franchise since <insert your year here> and buying ever since, even when they KNOW they have no time to even INSTALL THE PRODUCT!

*looks up* ... Yup, that's what I wanted to say. PM me if youse gotta problem with it. Peace!

As much as it may have slowed down OOTP12, if it did....iOOTP will most likely introduce a new customer base to the PC version of the franchise who may never have heard of OOTP developments. This makes more money for OOTP Developments meaning it can go into the future development of Out of the Park baseball! If Markus and Co. don't get paid they don't stay afloat.

I'm just shocked the 'usual suspects' aren't in here crying like children about how you posted that the Beta started on Facebook or the fact the release date is June 20th.

Actually shocked really doesn't describe it.

edit: you know... till I saw a few quoted posts above me. Damn, I should have known it was too good to be true.

Note to self: Princess Kenny was really off-putting.

I hope the page is like them one in NHL Eastside hockey Manager with Best and Worst on Team on the left on top Top to bottom at each postion like Joe Carter might be on top for RF for the Blue Jays but like Tim Hicks might be last right know for Blue Jays as RF meaning may never make it to MLB and bottom Right corner would show the 20 Blue Chip Prospects for the Team.
I'm hoping to learn about more Features coming for Spring Training.

Thanks for the update. I know I have mentioned this before but any chance that human Manager/GM might be offered contracts by teams? this way you have the option of staying with your favorite team or you could see how much you could make in your career. are you a driven by greed and price yourself out of a job or loyal as a puppy and get taken advantage of. I just think it would add one more element of immersion. Submitted for your consideration.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.
