The more test leagues I run, the more interesting names I get.
Another owner in said historical league is named Scott Scott.

From my 2010-onwards Washington Nationals dynasty...we have first-rounders LF Jake Roberts, MR Aaron Carter and 3B James Taylor. Fairly common names, but celebrity/washed-up celebrity/drunken ex-wrestler names nonetheless...
And I think this dynasty also has a Bryan Adams somewhere in the minors...

Currently in the 20th season of my dynasty, and I've uncovered a few gems...
- AAA catcher Michael Jackson, who was, interestingly enough, born 6/22/05, or nearly 4 years before the real King Of Pop died. This Michael Jackson, though, is far from being a King Of Pop, as his potential Power rating is only 7. - Arizona just drafted a starting pitcher named Donnie Brooks. But that's nothing compared to... - ...fellow first-rounder Richard Wadd, also a starting pitcher.

Pity really, because if he was a slugger, I'd have given him that nickname.

I have a young 1st baseman with the name; "Mei Hung."
To bad he didn't compete for the job against "Richard Short." Last edited by kckid4u; 05-07-2010 at 07:37 PM. |

There once was a pitcher in one of my leagues named Remington "B" Galant, the AI gave him the nickname.

This doesn't fall under the category of unusual names, but rather the generated nicknames.
One of my top prospects is a pitcher from Japan named Yusahiro "Juan Gone" Tonako..... Just curious where they get Juan Gone out of that? Is this a bad omen of things to come? I mean Juan Gone hit a lot of home runs, so a pitcher named "Juan Gone", does he give up a lot of home runs? |

One of the better starting pitchers in my fictional league is Paul Menard (the real one is a NASCAR driver).
I will say that this version does a much better job of name creation than the previous ones.
