Scouts have critized Venditte's velocity quite often, especially the Yanks. Probably they want a switch pitching Joba

I don't really see why. Right handed he throws at about 87-90 left handed at about 83-85. Now, that isn't fast, but with his breaking balls, it makes a difference.

Scouts of the Yanks insist the big league hitter would destroy Venditte because his fastballs are "terrible"

Possibly. He has plenty of time to develop though.

He took the loss last night, is now 2-2 on the year.

26 games, 28.2 IP 2-2, 0.94 ERA, 20 Saves, 1 BB, 39 Ks.

I think the 39/1 K/BB is his most impressive stat.

Stats so far in Tampa:

8 games, 12.1 IP, 0-0, 3.65 ERA, 1 save, 2 walks, 14 K's.

Still keeping the K/BB pretty good, giving up a few more runs now though.

Bump. 10 games, 16.1 IP, 1-0, 1 save, 2.76 ERA, 4 walks, 21 K.

His Single A K/BB is now 61/6. That is pretty impressive control by any standard.

I'd love to see this kid make it, if only to watch the fits this causes game developers (sorry Markus ). Seriously though, this kid would be fun to watch.

Baseball Reference lists him as "Throws: Right, Venditte usually throws with the arm needed for the platoon advantage".

Bump, but I just realised, funnily enough he finished the season as a MR for Tampa, which is what he was originally in the OOTP roster set.
