After five years, the Hurricanes have the most Stanley Cups out of anybody - 2. The Bruins, Kings, and Capitals each have 1.

I'm rooting for the Rangers this year, but their bullpen is lousy. In Game 4 against Florida, they were leading 2-1 going to the bottom of the 9th, but blew it. And leading 4-1 in the top of the ninth in Game 7, they coughed up a three run lead, only to get back up and win in the tenth. If they beat the top-seeded Maple Leafs, it will be a huge surprise.

The other team in New York, the Islanders, has a better chance to be successful. It seems like they're the kind of team that plays well enough in the regular season to make the playoffs, then really turn it on in the playoffs. I'm really interested in the outcome of the Islanders-Lightning series.

In the West, I've got to go with the Kings as having the best chance to get to the Stanley Cup Finals. They've been to the Final twice, and have won once.

What a win for the Rangers in Game 1. In the top of the ninth, down 4-1, they tied it with a solo shot and a two-run homer, and won in the top of the tenth on an RBI double.

Update: Wow. With the Rangers up 3-0 in the series, they were up 6-4 going into the top of the ninth against the Maple Leafs. They allowed three runs and lost. Their weak bullpen hurt them again. Let's see if this comes back to bite the Rangers.

Update: Nope. They won Game 5 easily, 9-3, The New York Rangers are in the Eastern Conference Finals! They have a great chance to face their rival, the New York Islanders.

Update: Yes, it's a Rangers-Islanders Eastern Conference Final. The Islanders won in Tampa 6-3 to win their series. This is going to be exciting! I wish I could listen to the hype on WFAN 660.
