I would like to see a floor for the minimum number of players that can be on a team, and not have AI violate that rule, such that teams aren't left with minor league rosters that have less than the minimum number of players. Of course, this could be dealt with by the re-introduction of invisible players, but it's not my choice to go one way or another.

It's just a pain to have to add fictional players to teams during a dynasty build...

The best solution would be to see actual roster sizes (and a DL) for the minor league system so that teams have a set number of healthy player spots to fill.

I'd like to see the team hold the lowest level of minors to the same roster limit as the major league, so we don't get minor league teams with 50+ players.

How about the option to set a maximum age for leagues? Would be nice to have a true developmental league ala juniors in hockey

Thanks for you hard work

glad to hear you had fun on your vacation

I was still worried about the import function, it still doesn't work properly.

How about the ability to change the accomplishments leader totals. If you plaw 80 game season your not going to have many 50 homerun hitters. Something to track individual game records. and
PLEASE Shutoff auto retire.

Hope your vacation went well.

My request is a big one, personally. I spent a large deal of time assigning team colors and stadiums, and there's currently no way to "save" or import/export them.

There are times that I would like to completely restart my quickstart league (i.e. - doesn't go well for me ). An option to release and DELETE all players/history and then generate new ones for a new inaugural draft would be amazing, but I suspect it might be too much work to code in for 1.03. Maybe if there's enough demand...

An alternative that would be great would be to allow the importing/exporting of stadiums and team colors so I could recreate the league as a universe template and when I create a new game (with the same team names/structure), just import the colors and stadiums instead of spending several hours going through a hundred teams, etc.

Here's to hoping...

I think this could be achieved by simply adding a special tag for fictional players in the players.dat file or something similar, with the game then treating any player with the tag as off limits for ever going into the majors or being involved in a major league transaction.
Well, "simply adding" something to a .dat file with a defined structure without breaking something else is probably not quite that simple in reality, I suspect. I think you might be in luck though if the csv exports are any indication, as players.csv includes columns for "historical_id" and "historical_team_id" (completely empty for the fictional league I've been testing with, of course) so I'd guess the opposite of what you're asking for is already available.

Or at least hold closer to the default limit of 25 like the intermediate minor levels are doing...

Utterly ridiculous. At least get your spelling right if you have to use a ridiculously big font

Please seeTigerfan's list at http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=127061

You could start at the top and just work down.

I am glad you had a good vacation. You deserved it after all of the hard and tedious work over the past months.

And thanks for the additional patch.

Don't let us get you down with our demand for perfection.

You are a darn good guy.

I appreciate it, podnuh.

And now, since you asked, as far as fixes in the new patch...

Please update the PBP and Text database.

M's Rule has been working on it quite a bit...refining it, correcting errors and expanding it with some new items in the News.

If it is is not too much to program, let us sort stats like you could in 6.5 versions....you could select "qualifiers", "all" and "rookies" and you could sort 15 at a time, 30 at a time, 50 at a time and 100 at a time.

I found it to be very useful and a much missed feature.

I haven't been able to find this in the new version.

Make the leaderboards have the top 10...7 is not enough.

It would be nice to see all of the PBP text at one time without having to use the scroll bar.

It would be nice to see both the batter stats and pitcher stats on the game screen on the same screen and not have to toggle between them.

Er, I hope not. I agree that 50 is a bit too many, but the latest patches limit them to between 35-45 for the most part. IRL, the roster limit for the lowest minors is 35 anyway. Another example is in Japan where teams only have 1 minor league team, but are able to have 70something players signed to their organization, which means more than the 25/28 players on their minor league roster.

Preferably we'd be able to set the roster sizes for minors (which is how I thought it would be before release; one of the major disappointments for me.)

This is dependent on your screen resolution and your windowed/full-screen setting. I'm able to see 9 per list in windowed mode and 17 (!) in full-screen.

Scouting Average

I like the scouting system but I would like to see:
- Scout Average as a ratings view (everything but SISA)
-Both for In Game Play By Play and everywhere else

- Scout Task List - assign a list of jobs

- Better connection between the depth chart and lineups. Removing
a guy from the depth chart should drop him out of a lineup.

- Depth Chart Substitutions - I have a guy set to play every second game but he hardly plays. I think the logic is using G (games) instead of GS (games started)

Sorry about the font, only 1 word was to be big but it posted all of it. Why the smart ass remark? Yes I CAN spell thank you. You assume I don't like auto retire so I must be stupid? I don't like it, the players retire way to early. I think most of the players who retire still have 3-4+ good years left. When a 35 yo cy young winner retires at 35 ONLY because he is 35 then I want the ability to keep him longer. My universe. Right?

1.0.2 looks pretty stable, but there are still a few issues out there, so I'll get right on coding 1.0.3, which will be released at the end of August. Any suggestions for a couple of small new features?

After that I'll immediately switch to coding OOTP 2007, and I can tell you that we have tons of nice things in store for the next version. It'll be easier to use, and we'll focus on making it the most fun version of OOTP ever. Of course, we'll regularly update you on the progress of it. Also, we'll shoot for an Opening Day release date this time instead of end of May.

OK, gotta go, my fingers need to get into the typing rythm again

Cheers,
Markus

These 2 things 1 This is page would replace the Tops Prospect Page but in a Baseball version like under Category it might say best Clutch Hitter like for teh Red Sox it would be Davd Ortiz if he on the Rex Sox in your league at the time you look at the page,if would also listed like for Catchers for let say the Baltimore Raomon Hernandez 1 then Javy Lopez 2 then keeps going in order of the other Catchers in Baltimore's Farm System as from Blue Chip Prospect to Backup and the list can always change because Javy Lopez could change Postions to 1B or get Traded or Retirement or leave as a Free-Agent or Claimed off Waviers or a Catcher like Ivan Rodriguez joins the team or could be downed to like backup Player because he is declining and for Top Prospects it would be like for lets say the Mets 1 might be Lastings M., 2 Mike Pelfrey,3 Brian Bannister,4 the other Prospect Outfielder in the Mets system and that list can also change when the person isn't classifeld as a Rookie anymore, isn't developing to be a Blue Chip Prospect or so on anymore, been traded to another team or recently Draft Picks have made the list

A nice depth chart for the entire organization.
addScreenieHit('http:/'+'/www.groovgames.com/images/NHLEHM2005_review/nhlehm2k5_08.jpg'); if(window.opener){ document.write(""); } else document.write(" "); Also from the game but can't find a Screenshot for it is Unsigned Prospect Page because that's a page I would like to see in this game because in Real life Players and Pitchers who get Drafted on June 5 and 6 have to be signed to a contract before they can be assigned to a Minor League and if they aren't signed by a certain date have to reenter next years Draft and that's the way I would like to see it in this game.
Also to have the ability to when it's creating Rookies for the 2007 MLB Draft in the game that be the Seniors that are in College right know and are going to be available in Real life for the 2007 MLB Amaetur Draft same goes for the 2008,2009,2010 and maybe years after that.
2 Also Rumor Mill like Scott Rolen is rumored to be going to the Tigers for Todd Jones/N.Logan/Zack Miner, other Prospects and Draft Picks and then the Cardinals can either reject the original offer but come back with another one or accept or reject it,the Yankees declines to commit on the Braves looking to aquire Alex Rodriguez or Jason Schmidt is intersted in joining the Red Sox and so on.
Suspensions,Fines and so on like Delmon Young who is playing for Durham gets Suspened for 50 games or Tom Glavine gets fined 50 dollars or Mike Hargrove gets fined 5 dollars and suspened for 7 games and they should also be able to appeal it.
Also Mock Drafts for Fantasy and Amaetur Drafts and the ability to pick how many teams make the Playoffs in a 30 team MLB League,Expansion Draft, select how many Interleague games their are like all season long,Home Run Derby,Future Games,Automatic Relocation for MLB Team, the ability to have both the DH and Pitcher bat in the game and last and finally Minor League Team Contracts like this the Cardinals have signed a Contract Extension with Memphis thru 2011 or the Cardinals have broken out of their agreement with Memphis or the Memphis has been purchased by anther team and now need to find a new home for their Triple-A!

I don't have a problem with you issues with the game. I also didn't say you were stupid. I just thought that using the big font was kind of being a smarta$$. I apologize if that wasn't your intention
