Steve Breaston's receiving stats from last season:

26 catches 291 yards 11.2 YPC 2 TD's.

CLEARLY Heisman material. He's gonna have to return about 20 kicks for TD's.

He's been behind Braylon and Avant for the past two years with an inexperienced backfield.

Stanton and Smith are better QB's than Henne, nobody, not even most Michigan fans would argue this. Hart? When's the last time he was healthy? You could make an arguement for 3-4 other Big Ten backs being better than him.

Pure comedy my man. What do all of those guys up there have in common? They are top 3-4 players at their respective positions nationally.
You are an idiot.

He's just not good, give it up. He's a nice return guy and that's where it ends. Being behind Holmes didn't stop Ginn from getting 50+ catches and 800+ yards as a true sophomore that has only been playing WR for a year and a half.

Manningham had better numbers last year than Breason so it obviously is more than just being behind Avant and if you wanna hype someone up from your team it should be him.

Even your own fanbase has given the Breaston hype a rest.

Breaston is the 3rd best reciever on his own team, behind Manningham and Arrington.

I'm not 100% sold on Smith for a whole season. He was amazing most of the time, but didn't he struggle at the beginning of the year? Then again, he was trading off with Zwick, IIRC.

With the exception of Vince Young, Troy Smith was the most improved player in College Football last season. You're right that he struggled early but he wasn't getting 1st team reps and Tressel was being his normal conservative self. By the end of the year he was lights out.

I agree though, I'm curious to see if he can put together 12 games like he played the last 6 or so of last season. I'm not sure what to think of OSU this year. On one hand, the talent level is ridiculous and they could run the table. On the other hand, Smith needs to stay consistent and the new defensive players need to play up to their abilities and road games against Texas and Iowa early in the year will be REAL tough.

If there is 1 or 0 undefeated teams and OSU goes 11-1 (assuming the 1 loss is early against either Texas or Iowa) OSU should have earned the right to play for the championship.

As an unbiased observer, allow me to say that at no point have I yet heard anyone mention Breaston and Desmond Howard in the same sentence. And you would think that the media would be all over such a comparison if Breaston were really a Heisman candidate.

Frankly, from the little I saw, I was more impressed by Manningham last year than I was Breaston, but take that with a hefty grain of salt.
