That is a fair opinion and everyone is entitled to their own, the way I look at it is that if the game is being played for 2006 than the rosters should start out the way they did. But I am trying to rate the players accordingly as well with regards to the way they are performing this year. I guess kind of a little of the best of both worlds thing.

Yeah if you have a copy still...I'd certainly would enjoy having a copy. I always thought I had a copy of it somewhere on CD but so far I can't find it. The closest thing I have is a copy of Total Minors Beta but that is after one season had been simmed.

OK today was another productive day. Got a total of 4 more AAA teams done

This was definately the best roster set I've ever played with in OOTP. Nothing has come close in my opinion, but hopefully one of these OOTPBM rosters will make it close. I'm sure the Cubbyfan/Rolen one will.

Ok well since most people don't seem overly interested in this project. I am gonna put it on the backburner for 3-4 days and put my emphasis on trying to finish up the rookie leagues for the pic pack I have been also working on and make sure it's released very soon.

That is too bad to hear. I enjoy playing with different roster sets, I hope you find the desire to complete this. And if it finishes soon, I am sure there would be plenty of interest.

But I also do not know how you guys (modders) can put up with all the negative people who think it is their place to criticize everything.

I think it's great that OzzietheSaint is doing another roster set. The more the merrier!

I personally prefer Opening Day rosters so that I can play out the 2006 season (and beyond) in my alternative universe. But clearly some like rosters that are current as of the release date.

Ozzie, I'm also delighted that you're doing pics. Thanks.

Like many others, thanks for all the work that you modders are doing. It's greatly appreciated by many of us!

I hope you finish this project. For us people who like a realistic OOTP game its useless to play without real rosters or for imported rosters that result in bad statistical outputs. Keep us posted

like I said I'm not stopping, just back burner'ing it until I can try and wrap up the pic pack. honestly since Erich's rosters will be out way before mine, I get more people contacting me about the pics than anything right now. So i wanna knock out the remaining rookie ball teams and have it finished

I understand why he is doing what he is doing, with the depth of the pictures and the time it takes to find quality pictures that can be used with the game it takes a long time. Basically I see him doing so that he can give both projects the time that they need so that he can do them right. Finishing one project so that you don't feel the pull of it hanging over your head is definitely the way I would personally go about it myself.

I applaud him for taking the time to finish the pics and then work on the rosters. I fully expect to see an excellent set of players from him in the future and wish him the best of luck with it. Personally I think he should wait until my set is finished and put out there and then use it to make his. There is no reason why he should go through all the headaches that I did of creating fictional players to change them to the real players when he could just take a set that has all the basic information in it and then change the subjective information to create his own version of how the players should be rated. This way it will take him a lot less time as all he will need to do is go to the specific teams and then update their ratings based on his data.

In all honesty I would recommend this for anyone that is going to work on a 2006 set. All I ask is that when you put the readme file in the zipped league file that you note that the basic grunt work came from my file, but please.... feel free to use it as template for making your files.

Wow thanks for that offer Erich. I suppose my final decision on it will be made by when it comes out LOL. I am hoping to finish up the pic work this week and would then likely start again over the weekend. but I still might take you up on that generous offer

Well like I said no sense spending all the time creating team after team and then having to input their date of birth which side they throw from and all that jazz when it will already be readily avialable. I have put the time in and know it is arduous and don't think you should have to do it if the information is already there.
