Both Mac and PC should be 12242

12231 was the original PC release

If it cannot be fixed for those who pre-ordered tonight, the least you can do is set up your universe (or spend time looking around the game)

I know thats no substitute for playing it in full but it would at least be better than nothing!

After the patch is unzipped and the files are updated, will the original desktop icon that was created upon the initial download now reflect the updated game, or will we have to replace icons?

Probably a stupid question, but I know nothing about this stuff. Thanks.

I have a question about the patch...Do I have to do anything? I downloaded, then clicked on it and it said it updated, am I done from that point? Or do I have to go into the game and do something?

All I did was run the executable and it automatically updated my files and my game executable. Didn't have to do anything else. This assumes that you installed the game in the default location when you install the initial version.

It's not working here either. I applied the patch- everything worked fine- even restarted the computer- doesn't matter- either way I am still getting version 1.0.0.12231....Am I missing something here????

Yeah I think I did it ok, because when I ran the game, there was a different skin, so I'm assuming that's a sign. Thank you.

Did you install the game under a different folder than the default? The patch will update files in the default folder C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2006. If you installed it in a different folder, you will need to run the patch and specify the location where you installed it.

The patch will automatically update everything itself. If you're worried it didn't work, open up the game and in the lower left hand corner it should say version 1.0.1.12242

I bought mine today but my Mac is not connected to the Internet. (Long story.) I downloaded it on this PC, burned it, and installed it on my Mac, but it will not accept my details without an Internet connection.

Is this as simple as needing to get online for authorization, is there a way around this, or... ?

(Yeah, I asked Marc already, but if anyone else has ideas, I am sure Marc is hard at work but swamped!)

I believe your Mac has to be connected to the internet so that it can access the license database for verification and assignment to your copy of the game.

Yep, default folder tree...Weird. I seem to be the only one having a problem. I may try it again....

I don't see that in the lower left hand corner...but I don't see anything in the lower left hand corner.

If you are using the pearl skin, you might want to change it. I had trouble reading the version number in the lower left hand corner with that skin but once I changed the skin, I was easily able to read it.

I tried disabling Norton Antivirus, etc- and tried re-installing by putting the file into the OOTP game folder- still no dice....In fact- the game .exe still has the same time/date as my original install after the patch....That can't be right either can it?
