If MATT LAWTON is the player we'd "care" about, I'm severely let down. LAME.

I'm don't think he even officially qualifies as a postseason outfielder.

An American League outfielder on a postseason team
Matt Lawton was an outfielder for the Yankees, an American League team that made the postseason.

Ah, guess I should have gone back and read the first post. He was still never on the postseason roster.

Matt Lawton? That's weak.

Yeah, I mean, who knows? It could have meant that. But it was pretty vague the way it was stated.

At least he had the balls to admit he ****ed up. I think it's alot easier to respect him than Palmiero, especially if he thought his career was headed down the tubes and this might have brought it back to life.

I believe Carroll clarified that the "care" comment was supposed to mean "we care about any player who tests positive."

I'm wondering if there's someone else we'd 'care' about. Carroll says he was involved in the appeal process, but Lawton says he's not appealing, so that could mean there's still another shoe waiting to drop.

Let's hope so, for the sake of offseason banter. But I think I heard somewhere the beginning of the appeals process is pretty much automatic. Or maybe the union handled it, or it started before Lawton decided not to appeal. My best guess is this is the one Carroll was talking about.

After a positive test, there must be a process of investigating all the when, where, and how.
