It's still early but that Sibson pick up is working out great. He has really shored up my MWs.

Thanks for the stats Romultiltus. I cant believe that I am 0-2 again this year!! I have got to get in the thick of things. Well,at least I dont think that I will be a complete pushover with my heavies and a few new additions to the team..but 0-2 isnt a good way to start..LOL. Good to be back. I have had a lot of personal issues and just havent had a lot of time lately, but hopefully I can start spending some more time around here..I have missed the league, the board and you guys for sure! Peace.

Waiver Round.......
The Free Agent waiver wire is now OPEN.
Schedule for the waiver rounds are posted below. Send in all requests by PM. You can send in your request one at a time for each round or a request for all the rounds.....it doesn't matter to me. If you send in more than one waiver request at a time, please give me some sort of idea of what you want should a problem occur with your request and I can't reach you by PM in time, so I can make the best judgement for you and your team. If we have a lack of inactivity in the waiver rounds.....we will start week 3 ASAP. Waiver Schedule: (Each round will consist of a 24 hour period) 1st waiver round; Starts Sunday(today) at 12(noon) CST to Monday 12(noon) CST. 2nd waiver round; Starts every Monday at 12(noon) CST to Tuesday 12(noon) CST. 3rd waiver round; Starts every Tuesday at 12(noon) CST to Wednesday 12(noon) CST. 4th waiver round; Starts every Wednesday at 12(noon) CST to Thursday 12(noon) CST. |

My wife and I just returned from Boulder, CO where we got to watch my faithful Cornhuskers in person get the crap kicked out of them.
I will spend the rest of the day updating the team rosters and the Top 15 rankings. They will be up to date within the next 24 hours. The UTBA should be running on its regular schedule from here on out after the waiver period. I've heard back from all the owners and it is good to see everybody is still around and ready to go in the UTBA. Good luck to all the teams for the rest of the season. ![]() *Note Iceteaboxing is missing 3 fighters on their Minor League roster. He has contacted me and said he would pick 3 and let me know by this weekend. Just letting you guys know this ahead of time for when you see three guys come up missing in the FA/Draft pool and might wonder where they went and why. |

Tough loss by the Cornhuskers SAL. How in the hell do y'all give up 34 straight points to the Buffs like that man. Your coach needs to go and y'all need to start over.

Who do you think the next coach will be Sal? Is Osbourne going to take them back to the option? If so what about Paul Johnson from Navy?

I would be interested in seeing what Johnson could do at a big school. Plus, I have to say I love watching the triple option. It's fun as hell to watch when it's rolling. Also, while he doesn't run a straight option looking into if y'all can get Jim Grobe out of Wake Forest might not be a bad idea. He's proven he can win in a big conference with lesser talent so at place like Nebraska where he can get better players he should be even better.

I'm sure Jim Grobe's & Paul Johnson's name are on the list because I heard their names mentioned the other day from some Big Red insiders at the party. Osborne has said he sees no need for the return of the option game. He just wants the program to return to its former self in the walk on program, the in-state recruits and the intensity they used to play with. He forced the entire coaching staff to be on the road last week during the teams bye week and start recruiting within the state....meaning visit every single high school and coach in the state of Nebraska. Time will tell, but I have a feeling the next coach will be Bo or Turner. Last edited by SAL; 11-25-2007 at 10:58 PM. |

For those that receive the weekly database update from Romy.....I didn't send him all of the necessary files. They are sent now but he will be busy with school for the next day or two. When he gets a chance, he will check and see if I got him the correct files and then he'll probably send out another update.
Any problems with the update......it was my fault.

SAL just got me the rest of the files. It was only a minor thing as the title holders on the Org screen weren't updated. I'll try to send out the missing files Tuesday cause I ain't going to be able to today. It's 3:25 in the morning here and I'm writing a paper which I probably won't finish until 6 or 7 if I'm lucky plus I have class around 11 and official school stuff after that. So I'm going to be a worthless zombie today and probably won't even be able to say my own name by noon.
EDIT: Well, I finished later then I thought but since I have a few extra minutes right now and not zombied out I'm sending the updates now. They should be sitting in y'all emails when you read this.

First Round of the Free Agent waiver period.............
Stockholm's Finest releases MW (7)Arthur Abraham 4-20-0 (0) *pre-prime and picks up MW (7)Sam Soliman 25-26-4 (5) *pre-prime from the Free Agent Pool. Rosters and FA/Draft pool have been updated. Second round of the FA waiver period is OPEN. If there is no activity in this round and nobody has a problem with it.......I'll start week 3 tomorrow evening. I'm currently working on the rankings. Now that we can post larger jpeg files, I can make the rankings show the top 20 instead of the top 15. |

Something had to be done about Abraham. I gave him a couple of breaks but he never stepped up. A 4-20 record is not acceptable from a 7 rated fighter even if the MW division is packed with talent.
Hopefully Soliman can give us a couple of "extra" points from time to time. Having lost two close matches lately, a couple of points could very well be enough to secure a first ever win for us. |

Well, I think it's safe to say that regardless how Sam performs you've improved your team as there is no way Sam can be as bad as Abraham. Abraham has been a special kind of bad.
