Rugby is like soccer with tackling

Football is like a long series of set plays

The speed and intensity of collisions are much greater in american football. And you get to keep your teeth.

Both are tough games though

Seriously though it would be pretty cool to see whether an NFL team would beat an international rugby team in some sort of modified rules game (how you could do it I don't know).
