From the Manager Home Screen, right-clicking on a player and removing from shortlist does not work. You have to remove him from the shortlist via the Roster Overview screen before he’s actually removed from the Manager Home Screen.

Came upon this in a custom league. Apparently, Low Minors is also a team that can sign players! Now that's multi-tasking!

I think I've found a loophole in trading.
Subban, rated 9.0, was an unsigned RFA for Montreal. I was able to snag him for a 1st round pick two years from now. He then signed with me for a cheap $4.6 million/year for 4 years. O'Reilly, rated 8.0, was an unsigned RFA for Colorado. I was able to snag him for a 1st round pick three years from now. He then signed with me for a very cheap $2 million/year for 3 years. With those types of deals, there is no reason they shouldn't have been re-signed by their existing clubs. That being said, while they were unsigned, there is no way these studs would be traded straight-up for a 1st round pick, especially for one that isn't even for the upcoming draft. |

I'm in summer of 2014 and signed SMacIntyre as a UFA to a 1 year deal worth $550k/$75k.
For some reason, the player card is showing Renewed Contract Details for future years with San Jose??? ![]() |

When you make a trade for a minor-league player, he shouldn’t automatically be promoted to the major league roster forcing you to reassign him which results in him becoming unhappy.

1) Go to League Menu > Free Agents.
2) Go to League Menu > Trading Block. The screen doesn't refresh. You can do #2 and then #1 and the screen doesn't refresh either. You need to go to a different screen completely, such as your roster, to get a refresh. |

Rosters are not in line with start dates of FHM
Historic Mode 1.3.13:
I start a game in 1988 -> FHM start date September 19th, 1988. When I look e.g. at the roster of the Los Angeles Kings, I notice that there are players on the roster which were in reality acquired at a later date: INCORRECT ROSTER PLAYERS: 1. D Doug Crossmann -> Should not be there. Reality: September 29th, 1988 (+10 days): D Doug Crossman acquired from Philadelphia Flyers for D Jay Wells (who is at this time also wrongly assigned to the Flyers). 2. D Dale DeGray -> Should not be there. Reality: Was claimed in the NHL Waiver Draft on October 1st, 1988 by Los Angeles from Toronto. 3. D Jim Hofford -> Should not be there. Reality: Was claimed in the NHL Waiver Draft on October 1st, 1988 by Los Angeles from Buffalo. 4. RW Bob Logan -> Should not be there. Reality: Was acquired by Los Angeles from Buffalo for D Larry Playfair and a pick on November 21st, 1988. 5. RW Dave Pasin -> Should not be there. Reality: Was acquired by Los Angeles from Boston for RW Paul Guay on November 3rd, 1988. ADDITIONAL PROBLEM with players 4. and 5.: The players send to others teams to acquire RW Logan and RW Pasin are still on the Los Angeles roster. 6. D Larry Playfair -> If RW Robert Logan is on the L.A. roster then this player should be on the Buffalo roster. 7. RW Paul Guay -> If RW Dave Pasin is on the L.A. roster then this player should be on the Boston roster. THIS LEADS to the following: I found out that G Robb Stauber was missing from the roster. He should have been there. I found him being a free agent and in the "Player History" it says "Released on July 1st, 1988". The AI automatically released the player because the roster was bigger than the 50 max. players (caused by problems above) on the start of the game. I do not like this solution, the AI should let the user decide which players he wants to release to get down to the 50 player limit. CONCLUSION: - Player transactions should be correct with the date of the FHM game, here September 19th, 1988. - Currently the transactions reach up to the middle of November 1988: A trade on November 25th, 1988 was CORRECTLY not included. - Transactions should be correct: Not like players acquired and send away being on the same roster (see players 4., 5., 6. and 7.). This might also be the case for the rosters of other teams. Did not check it. - Cannot decide if this is a data-issue because you could calculate the rosters depending on some rules before the start of a game. UPDATE: RW Jim Fox is listed as a free agent -> NOT CORRECT -> He should be signed by L.A. for two more seasons until he had to retire because of an injury... Probems with displayed data in specific views/windows
Historic Mode 1.3.13:
Related to "Main Window" of the game: The team-record info shown below the team´s name is wrong. It should contain the following items: GP-W-L-OTL/OL-T Explained: GP - Number of games played. W - Number of games won. (A team is awarded two points for each win.) L - Number of games lost in regulation time. OTL - Games lost in overtime. (A team is awarded one point for each overtime loss.) OL - Games lost in a shootout. (A team is awarded one point for each shootout loss.) T - Number of games tied. (A team is awarded one point for each tie.) IMPORTANT: As of the 2005-06 NHL season, ties are eliminated. Currently for all "Historic" games the record is shown in the format GP-W-L-OTL/OL. Before 2005-06 it should rather be GP-W-L-T. Related to view "Manager Home": 1. Info in "Next Game" shows the current active arenas for teams and not the historically correct ones (but I think you know about that). 2. The "Conference Standings" below "Next Game" They make sense in the seasons were the qualification for the playoffs depended on the Conference Standings. But in the following seasons the qualification depended on the division standings. First Seasons to Last Season were divisional standings were important: 1967-68 to 1973-74 1979-80 to 1992-93 2013-14 to .... (currently a mix between both) Anyway, it would be nice if for those seasons (mentioned above) the "Conference Standings" would be replaced with the "Divisional Standings". 3. "Shortlist" The "Right-Mouse" click option "Remove from Shortlist" does not work (I think that´s known, too) Related to view "Team Home": 1. The "Conference Standings" on the top left Same issue with "Divisional Standings as in the view "Manager Home" 2. "NHL Rankings" The values "PP Chances" and "SH Chances" are always "0". Better values would be "PP%" and "PK%". Same useless stats exists in the "League Home Sreeen". 3. "Who´s hot" and "Who´s not" There is never any info available in a season Thanks |

When trying to offer a trade, every time I click "Offer Trade" it takes me to my manager home screen.
EDIT: Or is it supposed to do this? Last edited by omjo; 11-19-2013 at 07:58 PM. |

I have a real bug this time...
When on a player profile or the league (NHL in this case) trade block, when I try to send a trade offer from either screen I get taken to the trade screen but there are two different teams already trying to make a trade it looks like. After a few second the game then crashes. |

Dunno if someone else already posted this (too lazy to browse through all entries)
As soon as you change anything with the League Editor (NHL menu) like trophy names, Arizona Coyotes to Phoenix Coyotes, etc.... the current team budget is srewed up - from about +$5m for FA´s to approx. -$7m |

Historical Glitch:
Traded draft picks won´t show up correctly at the draft - no matter how many were traded during the season, at draft day every team has it´s original picks back |

I can't speculate whether this is an isolated case, but I thought it worth mentioning that this trade went through. This was done in my historic 93-94 season. Omjo, can you reproduce it with another team/season? If so, I will test that out, and if it occurs, I'll add it to Bug issues for Malte or Sebastian. Thanks!
