Oh boy don't visit the forums for a while and the best text sim starts to head towards the best sport game. Hockey never easy to sim (hence no-one does) and I'm sure some teething issues to come.
But CANNOT wait!!!! ![]() ![]()

Will the upcoming NHL lockout cause a delay in the creation of this game? I'm looking forward to playing it when it is released.

They've said it's already slated for a Late Dec to Early Jan release date (if all goes according to plan) so no, the Lockout won't have anything to do with it.

Was checking if there was any news on the old EHM series when I found out about this. Good Luck with the game. |

The (possible) Lockout will have no influence on the release of the game. Worst case: we will release updates with updated CBA rules for example.

Just keep the entire database (leagues, teams, players) and league rules (game play rules, number of teams etc) open and editable, and you will find that IF the core of the game is well made, you will have dedicated people wanting to update the various leagues in the future. Just look at EHM and the fact that some people still keep it updated (five years on!) even if hardcoded league rules won't allow for correct amount of teams in some leagues etc. It's just that addictive at the core. Besides, allowing users the ability to freely modify the database means prolonging the appeal towards the game and might even come in handy when researching leagues for future updates.

Could not wait for this game to be released!
I have some questions:1. Will this game be similar to the Football Manager games? 2. Will the Swedish Elitserien and Swedish Allsvenskan be featured in the game and be playable? I would love to coach my favorite team! 3. When will the game be released? |

We are OOTP Developments and even if FHM is not OOTP (not even the same Framework used) we wanted to catch the Look & Feel of OOTP. But we did not blindly ported every feature from OOTP, that makes no sense. So you will of course see influences from other great games like FM (maybe my most favorite game ever, sorry Markus ) and EHM. But FHM will have his own character.2. Normally I don't answer questions like this (to avoid bad blood later) but we have a very dedicated Swedish Researcher and both leagues are already playable in our early beta build. 3. We don't have a release date set in stone, we go for late December/Early January. With a development team of 2 persons something can go wrong pretty fast but so far I think we are on a good way.

![]() I need to invest alot of time in games like these because i never like them at first until i learn the interface. That's probably the biggest problem with these games in building a new fanbase. The only reason i got into EHM in the first place was that i was injured playing hockey, i had all summer with nothing to do so I had alot of free time on my hands. I didn't even like EHM at first but had nothing better to do with my free time so i kept with it and the rest is history. Addicted ever since.
