I read it. It was just a paragraph excerpt from a longer article, then Neyer writes a paragraph agreeing with it (does he get paid for that?) It was just that his BABIP is really low (way under league avg), probably due to luck. He has been giving up a higher rate of FB's to GB's, yet his homeruns are are low. Basically, that at some point, these things will even out. He will still be good, gut not this good.

But it can continue for a whole year. Washburn got a huge contract from the mariners by having an artificially low ERA, due to the large amounts of runners he stranded. This was not a repeatable skill, and when he regressed to the mean later, his ERA went up too. But that lasted a whole year, so Haren might also.

One quality metric rates Haren the luckiest pitcher in MLB.

After staring at that stat for a while, then consulting the glossary, I was going to come here and ask how that stat showed him to be the luckiest pitcher. The I realized it was not FIP (dash)ERA, but FIP(minus) ERA. AHHH, I am tired.

With Bradley in Kansas City now, who does the homerun dance with Swisher?

It's a shame Milton couldn't stay healthy. I thought he was perfect in that lineup. His attitude was better, and to me, he was becoming a team player with those guys. His time with the Royals will be short though. He still has some talent and maybe he'll do well there.

And Bradley fails his physical...

So, Milty to KC is a no-go.

Rotoworld thinks he may have faked the injury.

This is turning into a mess. I'm worried that he'll be released and just cost Oakland money now.

RICH HARDEN PITCHED THE 7TH INNING LAST NIGHT!

And then didn't come out for the 8th because his shoulder was sore

News: Harden (shoulder) reported some soreness following his inning of relief on Monday, the Associated Press reports.

Spin: "He was a little achy after the first so we felt one inning was enough," A's manager Bob Geren said. "Hopefully, it's nothing major. Obviously we'll know more tomorrow.

It's really hard to recognize anyone on the A's relief staff. -Kiko Calero on the DL. Flores, Castilla, Lewis, Lugo, is Braden in the Pen as well? Who are these guys. Where are my A's?

And the cycle continues tomorrow as we're back to DiNardo (chalk up the L now) and then Blanton on Thursday (chalk up the zero in the A's run column now).

LET'S GET PAST THIS **** AND ON TO THE SECOND HALF SURGE SO I CAN START GOING INSTEAD OF GOING

People have to learn to not pitch to Kelly Shoppach.

I love to watch my team win, but it isn't as satisfying coming at the expense of your team, Kelly.

Don't pitch to either Indians backstop.

Victor Martinez: .313/.377/.532
Kelly Shoppach: .382/.455/.676

Kellor Shoppinez should be the favorite for the AL MVP award.

I appreciate your sympathy, Bob.

I see we put a nine-spot on the Tribe already tonight. I don't feel safe with that lead though!

Suzuki now has double the amount of homers that Kendall does.

Dinardo can't blow a 9 run lead, can he? CAN HE?
