I'm alright with 2 more teams this year or next. I think 20 would be the max.

As for adding 2 more teams, sure - why not. As for the divisions, it could be 3 (as suggested by kenyan cheena): Gold, Silver and Platinum and still maintain 10 rounds a season. Each team will only face the ones in its own division twice (home and away). |

If we go to 3 divisions then I vote for a 6 team playoff with all the second place teams making the playoff and the two division winners with the best records get first round byes.
You could also still do the 4 division but with one Conference having two divisions of 5 and the other having two divisions of 4. |

I'll be fine with adding some more teams to me it's up to SAL though since he has to do all the work.

Trade News
The Tile Hill Top Team have traded flyweight Dennis Adams, who was their second round pick, for Young Perez of champions Bonner Springs Bald Beavers. Adams, who has a 3-4-1 [1] record having previously been with The Mexivilles, leaves without ever throwing a punch in anger for 'The Hilltoppers'. This was Tile Hills first ever trade. |

Glad to hear you got your cap fixed Ian.
Scot: Are we waiting for expansion rosters to be set before the free agent draft begins or can we submit our (up to) three names now? By the Way, the rules look perfectly fine to me as is.

The one thing I worry about is depleting the talent of what is left in the stock database. As of right now, there are 3 weight divisions that have only 85 fighters rated 6 or higher and one divsion that has 95 rated 6 or higher that is not in the UTBA yet. In the next 5 seasons and with the draft and the possibility of fighters reaching retirement by that time, that will wipe out those four divisions and leave nothing but 1 to 3 rated fighters. What do you guys want to do? We can leave things the way they are now at 16 teams and and we can put the guys wanting in on a waiting list and when some managers here become disinterested and leave, we'll have some managers ready to step in. I can't tell you how many PMs I sent during the draft trying to keep things going. I don't want to go through that again and I can only visualize what will happen with 20 or more teams. I would say you guys should leave it as is for now and add more next season. You dont want to deplete a good thing so that you either have to make up fictional guys or crappy new talent.

Well, five new guys would be overdoing it but if at the end of the season you want to add two new teams thats fine I ain't got no problem with that. I'm cool with which ever way you decide to go be it adding them or not.

I would love to have everyone interested join right now but will vote for a for measured approach because:
1) The work involved for Scot will increase sharply and 2) Disinterested owners will likely create openings without the depletion issues.

2. As for the depletion of the database, I think it would be ok if we selectively added a batch of fighters that have been rated on the board. The guys who take the time to rate fighters do a fantastic job and there seems to be little debate or opposition to the accuracy of the ratings. At the end of each season, I suggest that each manager submit a list of about 10 fighters posted on the boards to be added to the draft pool. This will allow more of our personal favorites to be added as well as padding out the weight classes that do not have a large number of fighters in the stock database. 3. As the league expands, I think we should not let a season grow to past 10 rounds. That will have fighters fight a minimum of 20 fights per season. Any more than 10 rounds will definitely speed up the career length of the fighters. (Actually I would prefer if each season were only about 8 rounds since Season 1 was only 7, but 10 is not a big deal) |

I'm pretty much good with whatever Sal wants to do on expansion .. we do have a huge database of rated fighters and I say as long as Sal decides who comes in it won't cause a problem.

I would love to have everyone interested join right now. I wish these guys were around when we spent a couple of weeks just trying to get 14.
I would like to see the league remain at 16 for now. We have a pretty good group of managers right now, but a few have been hard to get in touch with at times when a decision has been needed and it has held the progress of the league up. I have no problem of a manager being away 2 weeks or so if they would atleast PM me and let me know they'll be gone. Some have done that and some have not. It just helps in knowing if someone is gone, I won't spend 3 5o 5 days trying to reach them. If everyone agrees to stay at 16 for the next season, I'll place the five names I have (Thunder, Lethal Liberal, Mad Bomber, Lee and gocubsgo) on a waiting list (I'll pick the order by random since I don't know what order they came in) and if a team spot opens, the number one man on the waiting list gets the team.
