I created a custom league based on the current season of the Ukrainian top league.
It has eight teams. I could not choose a lower number of games so I chose the default 8 team no division league. I created the teams and put in the arena info. On the initial screen I could not put in capacities below 1000. It is common for rinks to have lower capacities. Now on to the draft… player budget for the Generals Kiev team is $73,281,357 I pick third in the draft and the player I choose has a salary of $7,230,000. Ok, I don’t get to negotiate, but let’s move on. I should have $66,051,357 left in my budget. $73,281,357 - $7,230,000 = $66,051,357. A quick peak at my Finances shows a payroll of $6,615,945 and budget room of $66,665,412 After my second pick, who demands $5,960,000 I should have $60,091,357 remaining in my budget. A quick peak at my Finances shows a payroll of $12,069,753 and budget room of $61,211,604. $73,281,357 - $7,230,000 - $5,960,000 = $60,091,357. Total Payroll should be $13,190,000. A jump to the salary obligations page confirms the Total Payroll should be $13,190,000. There is a serious bug in the team finances page. |

Started a 1979-80 historical.
Got through a year or so, and now at Sept 8, 1980, and can not advance past. Crashed 4 straight tries. |

Are the saves actually gone from your hard drive (go to the start screen, then preferences-troubleshooting-open customizable data folder, and click on the saved_games folder)? Or are they still there, but the game's not recognizing them?

Are his NHL rights still owned by you? (Check on his player screen, Contracts tab, league rights section in the middle lower part of the page.)

tarashnat i know nothing about this but i'm curious if the two players you selected have the same cap hits as their salary? If the numbers are different then maybe that's where the discrepancy is.

In 1985 historical mode (Might be other years i don't know) Chicago is listed as the Black Hawks. Obviously should be the Blackhawks
I only noticed this because the historical logos were not showing up.

I have found that going to the first preseason game and viewing it thru the match engine can avoid the crash, which happens if you try to Finish Today or sim thru the day. That's how you can keep your game alive.

Not using cap. Plus, since the salaries are the first salaries in league (initial draft) the cap hit should be the same as annual salary for leagues using a cap.

I'm at Sept 8th. The first pre-season (exhibition) game isn't scheduled until Sept 25th. There's no games for me to play or anything. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but extending contracts or resigning our players should be coming out of our extensions budget and not the Free Agent budget no ?
At the moment, whenever you resign your players (Blackhawks: Kruger, Shaw, McNeill) it's extracting the funds from the FA budget and should be coming out of the Player extensions. |

Technically not renamed, somebody dug up the original paperwork from when they first joined the league in the 20's and noticed it had the team name as a single word instead of two, since it was named after the 86th Infantry Division, the "Blackhawk Division", in which their owner had served in WWI. But to confuse things even further, the Blackhawk Division was named after the Sauk chief Black Hawk, whose name is normally spelled as two words.

Might be something different, then. I can get a 79-80 start past that date with no problem in the most recent test build, though, so if it's something specific to that start date, it's been fixed. If it's still happening after the update, we'll probably need to have a look at the save.
