Don Bollweg - '54 or '55

One I had been looking for turned up on ebay. It was identified as being from 1955 but the uniform looks like the one from 1954. What do our resident historians say? Anyway, I took a crack at colorization assuming a uniform from '54.

Assist for the skin tones from palette.fm.

Definitely 1954 Philadelphia-style, not 1955 KC. Here are samples of both, 1954 first, then 1955.

Would not rule out all the information combined. Explained as yes a 1955 image but from Spring Training. Could he be wearing a 1955 cap with a 1954 jersey? Note the presence of piping on the cap from 1955 not evident on that of 1954.

Thank you for the wonderful production in respect of the Carl Mays image.

Jeff Pfeffer ended his Major League career with the 1924 Pittsburgh Pirates, image attached.

He started the yaer with the Cardinals going 4-5 with a 5.31 ERA. With the Pirates he was 5-3 with a 3.07 ERA.

His career record was 158-112 with an ERA of 2.77. Twice a more than 20 game winner and twice a 19 game winner.

Started his career with the 1911 St. Louis Browns appearing in just 2 games. Reappeared with the Dodgers in 1913, where he won the majority of his games, 113. Stayed with Brooklyn until 1921 when he later moved to the Cardinals. Came to prominence in 1914 when he led Brooklyn in wins, as he did in the following 2 years, amassing 67 wins over that 3 year period. His only League leading performances was in hitting batsmen in 1916 and 1917, and was involved in a scary incident in this capacity during a pre-season 1920 encounter with the Yankees, Chick Fewster being on the receiving end.

Don Lenhardt 1950

While Lenhardt does have a card that features him in color, it is a side profile shot. I was hoping this nice front-facing photograph could be colorized for insertion into the Facepack.

Dobie Moore

I'm not sure if this picture is large enough, but I would love another touched up and colorized negro league. This one is Dobie Moore. Thanks.

If I was producing output of your quality I would be proud of it and be happy to have an association with the content.

Attached is a 1924 image of Clarence Mitchell with the Philadelphia Phillies.
.
A left handed pitcher whose career stretched to 21 years in the Major Leagues. Also a good hitter and was the back-up first baseman for the Brooklyn Robins in 1922 posting a .290 average.

Representing 6 different teams starting with the 1911 Detroit Tigers, appearing in 5 games. Did not reappear until 1916, with the Reds, and then it was National League all the time. Pitched over 150 innings in both seasons he was with the Reds and was an 11 game winner in 1916.

Pitched with Brooklyn from 1918 through 1922, again winning 11 games in 1921. Joined the Phillies in 1923 where he won more games than with any other team but only reached a high of 10 wins in 1925. After starting 1928 with the Phillies he joined the Cardinals where he posted all his 1928 wins. Commenced 1930 with St. Louis but after 1 appearance joined the Giants. That season and 1931 were the most effective of his career posting records of 10-3 and 13-11. 1932 was his last season as he tailed off to 1-3.

A career losing record of 125-139 accompanied by a 4.12 ERA. Compiled 1287 At Bats and a .252 batting average.
