Okay, if it should have been a penalty in the laws, then you are of course right.

And what I meant is that if you started giving penalties for just a little brush, players will be throwing themselves down for all sorts of small touches, not just that one.
But I'm probably wrong, and thanks for correcting my error.

I think I'll leave you guys to talk about grading.

C = 55-59
C- = 50-54

And C- is a pass but won't get you much lovin' from the university. Need a 'B' average to get into most post-grad courses and about a B+/A- to get into Law/Med etc.

Just saw the "penalty" replay. Looked very close, i'm sure there are referees around that wouldn't hesitate to give it and some that would give it straight away. Penalty giving, although there are definative rules to govern it, is very subjective.

It's all opinion, especially on first glance at real speed. I've been wrong occasionally . I probably see the challenge as a little heavier than you did (on the replays I think he caught his leading foot mid air while running, which brought him down, not just brushed his shin). I also think from the replays that Adebayor was running and fully upright at the time, not looking to go down.

But I guess none of us know the level of difficulty between schools so it is hard/impossible to compare.

I know that based on research etc. Auckland Uni is rated around the 25th best in the world. That is mainly in the science type fields though I think...cancer research etc.
