Yes he might have brushed his shin, but if you look at the replay you can see he was looking to go down before the incident took place. And as I say if you give that, you'll have a load of penalties in every game.

We don't work off the bell curve at my university. Technically it is possible for everybody in a class to get an A+ (90%+)

Doesn't matter according to the laws what he was looking to do; he'd beaten the defender, who put out a leg with no hope of playing the ball and made contact = Penalty. I disagree that there are 'loads' of incidents like that every game - a defender being skinned and flicking his leg out behind him like that isn't all that common.
