Boston, MA - Nickerson Field (Braves Field Update)
For Braves Field I decided to do a rebrand using SFGiants58's Boston Beacons set. The stadium is now Nickerson Field on the Boston University campus and is bounded by a highway and a railroad to the north. It is set on the Charles River, so I decided to tear down the highway and rebuild the stadium. The original stadium held 44,000 people, making it one of the biggest stadiums during its time. Originally it was just one level, but I decided to remodel and make it two.
![]() I added a few fun features too. In right I built a stacked bullpen and a small building, kind of like the Chop House in Truist Park. I also put in a light house (keeping with the Beacons theme) and waterfall. ![]() In left I kept the trees that were present in the original and added a hand operated scoreboard with out of town scores. I also built a bridge between the parking lot and the stadium that runs across the train tracks. ![]() This stadium is relatively neutral, with lower home run numbers and a pro hitter bias. This one is great! I love in Boston area and I play hockey at the Agganis arena occasionally which I see you have modeled. I drive by the original ticket booth building which still stands. Very cool Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Washington, DC - Gibson Stadium (Griffith Stadium)
Lastly in the Jewel Box series is old Griffith Stadium. The actual stadium was built for about 100k and 12 weeks in 1912 after the original stadium burned down. It's awkward shape was due to five house that wouldn't sell to the team, but I figured those people would... eventually give in. The actual park (in this world) is still surrounded by the university and the neighborhood, with a commercial stretch to the east.
![]() Griffith Stadium was built right next to Howard University and was also the one time home of the Homestead Grays, including Negro World Series titles in 1943 and 1944, so I decided to rebrand it in honor of Josh Gibson and use SFGiants58's Washington Grays uniforms. ![]() Since it was a Negro League stadium, I also decided to add a hall of monuments (a la Yankee Stadium) dedicated to the Negro Leagues in center. It has statues for Satchel Paige, Josh Gibson, Willie Mays, and Hank Aaron, and the plaques for all forty Hall of Famers that played in the Negro Leagues. The batters eye also has the crest from the logo. ![]() ![]() In right I decided to keep the Green Monsteresque high wall and add the seats atop the wall. In left I built a staggered bullpen, as well as adding a set of luxury boxes in the corner. ![]() ![]() A final, smaller addition was in the upper deck, where I added steps around the tunnels. It was fun to figure out how to do it, and I think they added a bit to the stadium. ![]() The high walls and deep field mean the park plays pretty hitter friendly, but is a killer on power numbers (as so many of these jewel box stadiums were.) Zip file can be found here Park Factors ![]() Day ![]() Night ![]() And that's it for this series for now! Thanks everyone who followed along and liked these stadiums - it was a lot of fun to dig into the history of baseball and imagine what these stadiums could look like if they had been maintained for the past century. I hope you enjoy |

Exquisite. The negro league focus was inspired.

New York, NY - Yankee Stadium
Ok, one last one actually. After I wrapped up Gibson Stadium, I took a short break and then decided to take a run at Yankee Stadium to truly finish off the older stadium series. So, here it is:
![]() The original Yankee Stadium had several structural issues, which led to it eventually being torn down (although something similar had happened in the 70s, and you know...) but I figured if they kept it they would look for a way to boost revenue. Hence, the behind home plate suites I added. ![]() I also brought back the frieze along the upper deck that was lost in the 1970s renovation. ![]() A lot of the bigger changes I made came in the outfield, which used to have more ads than your average interstate offramp. I added columns along the outfield. In right center I moved the bullpen into the stands, added a primary videoboard and lineup boards, and engraved some Yankee's history. I also added a batters eye with a bit of Yankees' history on it: ![]() ![]() In Center I added another video ribbon with an out of town scoreboard along the top. I also rebuilt Monument Park, including a bit of help from the Hall of Fame and Baseball Reference. ![]() ![]() Finally, in left I added a new grand entrance, with a fitting Latin saying for the Yankees' history. ![]() It was fun to play a bit with transforming this classic park, and again, it's interesting to think about how different the park could look if steps were taken to save it. It's too bad we lost it to history, but it's fun to bring it back into the game in this form. Yankee Stadium was particularly deep, which means that the home run numbers are depressed and doubles and triples are increased. Zip file can be found here Park Factors ![]() Day ![]() Night ![]() |

Steam Workshop for Jewel Box Parks
As a quick side note, I also put together a Jewel Box Collection on the steam workshop. The link seems to be broken, but when I get it figured out I will post it here.

Unable to download BB Park files
Hello nielsoncp and Sabre2000,
I can't download any of the ballpark files, either as zipped together or individually. When I try to download either, I get a "can't preview file" message, followed by a "can't scan for viruses" message. It appears it might be an obvious error on my part that I am unaware of? Thanks. |

Ignore those messages and click download anyway. You should have no problems.

I don't think anything in the vein of the redone historical concepts in this thread, but if you just want a version of it there are a few options:

What seems to be the problem here then? He openly says that in the beginning.
If you want accuracy, hit up eriqjaffe or silvam/adion's thread.
