Back to back errors loaded the bases with nobody out. White then tied the game with a sacrifice fly as the Rangers committed their third error of the inning allowing the go-ahead run to score as well. Biittner led off the bottom of the eighth with a single for the Rangers 10th hit of the game and Rollie Fingers replaced Holtzman and kept Biittner from advancing past first.
