AJ RD does not work with Spritze DB's. He says he has never tried. I have tried a few times and I have not been able to get them to work.

Some of the extra fields I don't include are required for random play. I will endeavor to calculate and include them in the next release.

Now that OOTP16 is put to bed I'll start adding the extra fields necessary for random play.
The challenge will be populating the fields with data based on younger ages that allows players to attain their skill set once they reach an appropriate major-league-ready age.

I, for one, would love to know what those fields/columns are and which files/tables they are in. On that note are they csv changes or odb changes?

The master.csv has lots of extra OOTP fields, like 20 or so and the fielding.csv has 8 extras and the pitching csv has 2 extra fields. I think it may only be the master ones that make random work but I don't really know so I'll just make them all to be safe.
The ODB file is a compiled version of all the csv files. It is not user creatable. It speeds the game up both tremendously and a lot.

Will this database work for OOTP16?

Spritze, greetings from a fellow Redmond, WA resident. Go Mariners!
Is the database that will work with OOTP16 ready yet? Remind me again how to make it the default when I set up my leagues. I only do draft leagues. Thanks for all your work! |

Another couple of weeks....I have added 1850's and 1860's data to players who debuted in 1871-1875 and am now developing the processes to make my database work randomly with the OOTP random option in a random way fairly randomly. the batting.csv is done and I'm now sparkling up the pitching.csv.

The database did not work with OOTP16. The rookie draft pool only showed about 15 players. It should have been many more. I will probably have to import them manually.

A little more info please. What year did you start your league in?
I'd like to run a test to see what your challenge might be.

I started the league in 1901 and it is now June of 1937. I have used different versions of your high school databases and they have all worked. I tried this database (Spritze's Database for OOTP14) on OOTP16 and it didn't draft any players that were 18 years old. It only drafted 14 older players.
So, I tried that database that I had been using for OOTP15 (not sure witch version) and the same thing happened. No Japanese, minor league or Negro League players were imported.

In 1901 I get 169 players in the draft class. In 1937 I get 326.
I'm guessing you may have something crossed up data-wise? The only time I have seen this before is when players have switched from the Gambo to the Spritze and back.
