Hi... Basic question here. Are these "rosters" that you speak of the current MLB rosters. And is this the set that I should be waiting for? I'm new to the game and holding off on buying until I can get a grasp on just how easily I can get my hands on the 2006 MLB rosters, import and play with them. Again, I'm a newbie to OOTP, but I've been playing Football Manager for a couple of years now. Thanks!

Cubby,

Is there a timetable we should be looking at? Next week or two weeks? I would prefer " it won't be done until atleast..." date.

Thanx

Can't give out dates (I've learned my lesson) but I will say that the finish line for a very solid first release (not a rough draft beta) is in sight.

But do I have to wear my glasses to see it?

Seriously though, thanks for all your hard work.

Me too. Finished exams today, ready to start playing OOTP now.

The work is really appreciated. I know firsthand what hard, boring and thankless work roster making can be, but this service is absolutely invaluable to the community.

Ok so here is an opportunity for people to figure out the release date of the rosters. I have promised Marc that I will have them released by the 5th anniversary of the day that I purchase OOTP3. So for those of you who know me well enough you will know that date and for those of you who don't I guess you can play the guessing game. :P

Quick question for you guys -- we talked about having foreign leagues (accurate players / teams for Japanese, Cuban, Mexican, etc. leagues) down the line, with a Japanese league, which is being created by DRaysGoRocco most likely in the second release of the file.

Would you guys rather have the first version have those teams with fictional players (but real teams, setups, etc.) or just have the MLB file with no other leagues?

We can go back later if we just have an MLB file with no other leagues and set it up, but the process is a bit tedious, as the salaries, injury info, etc. are all lost, and we have to re-do that stuff. Opinions?

I don't care much for international leagues <_<

But anywho, will these rosters be flexible enough to leave out Single A and lower leagues...

For my online league, I'm only going as deep as Double A, so I'm wondering if I'd be able to not include those, especially if it is distributed as a save game or quickstart

I'm playing around with the league setup tonight, hopefully I can check back and let you know more about how the file will be formatted then.

I would prefer no other leagues outside of US majors and minors.
