Here are two quick questions:
What happens when a user GM fires their head coach? 1) Nothing (you just run the team without any negatives affecting your team and can proceed on without a coach) 2) You lose that coach's positive (or perhaps negative) impact If you play in GM only mode, what are your "locked" options as far as lineups/tactics/other coaching decisions? 1) You relinquish all power to the coach and it does not change 2) You can override all coaching at any time 3) Varies--It's all in how you adjust your user settings I"m thinking in regards to a multiplayer universe; if we're trying to setup a GM only league, perhaps it's pointless if guys can just "turn it off" by overriding. Either way is fine, I just want to make sure I understand how it would work. Thanks!

it is not possible to edit now but I can't say down the road what will happen. I'd say (speculation only) that it's more likely that additional options will be programmed in with future versions of the game.

Is it possible to edit a coach to a salary of more than $3M? In trying to re-add in Mike Babcock to the Leafs, it seems $3M is the highest we can go?

Might be capped there at the moment, that was probably set before the Leafs threw the bank at him. I'll see if we can move it up.

Two Questions:
1) I want to advance all players' ages in my 2015/2016 startup league. How would I go about doing this (I could do it with an export function in OOTP). 2) I want to trade for a player's rights, but I can't initiate a one-for-one-swap with another team for an unsigned prospect. So, let's say I wanted to trade for Ilya Samsonov's rights from WAS. I can't start a trade from Samsonov's screen like I could with a WAS player who has been signed, so I have to include an already signed WAS player in any trade I would offer for Samsonov. Is there a way to do this that I am missing? Thanks. |

I'll put it on the list. Might be a little tricky fitting it with the news notification settings, but it should at least PM you or something that they guy's leaving.

2) Go to "Trade Offer" on your Team + League Controls tab. Select Washington as the team to trade with from the drop down top left. On the bottom right drop down, select "Capitals Rights" and find Samsonov and right click and add him to the deal. Then go find what you want to offer from your team and there you have it. |

It says the game should be on sale "special opening week price of $29.99" but when I go to purchase the game from the Product Catalog from the online store it comes out to 43.60 CAD. Very confused.

When simulating a multiplayer league with some AI teams, is there a way to limit the transactions these teams perform beyond just setting the trade frequency to 0?

When setting up lines, specifically the 5on4 and 5on3 power plays, what exactly is the difference between D and P? Does one shoot/pass more than the other?

This is a transaction for a team with a human owner when I ran a test sim from Aug 15th until Sept 6th: ![]() And here is one during the same test sim from my team (commish): ![]() I am hoping to find a way to prevent these from happening obviously, but perhaps there's more to it? Both of these teams have everything set so that the GM handles ALL.

When playing GM only, why do my minor league players keep getting put onto my NHL roster? I have transaction control set to me and not assistant, and I even put it that way for my AHL team. And yet, every couple days I sim (especially if I do it more than one day at a time) I find three or four players called up.

29.99 is American, so it's the conversion. Our Canadian dollar sucks now.

The P position doesn't reduce a forward's abilities due to playing out of position. The D one does. No difference in their tactical behaviour.

Edit: Sorry, just saw your second post. So the AI made those signings for the players, they didn't do them on their own? Last edited by JeffR; 10-04-2015 at 01:12 AM. |
