Blah... Nothing excites me about this one. Prediction, 3-13 with a 5.12 ERA. But, we have a great bullpen, so maybe if he gives us 4 inning a start.....

I agree. He feels more like a Simon or Greene type signing to me, in that he doesn't seem to have great upside, but has potential for great downside. Seems more like a 5 spot guy, which we already have in Norris.

Had to laugh/cry when the article said, Norris isn't a shoe in for the #5 spot in the rotation. When Lobster and the mighty Buck Farmer are listed as other options??? C'mon!

Signed Mike Pelfrey. ick.

I suppose it 'could' be somewhat ok. He is supposedly a ground ball pitcher and the D should be good. If he's a ground ball pitcher, that's a lot of seeing eye singles.

I kind of like the idea of Salty. He's a veteran worth $8 million, but we get him for the league minimum. I'm alright with Holly, but having a veteran is a better deal.

Still wanting to see some more names added to the bullpen. Heard they are interested in Tony Sipp. I like that. He's had two strong seasons in a row now. Oh and we need a left fielder.

Justin Wilson from the Yankees. He had a nice season last year. I know nothing about the prospects they gave up. Hope this is another piece of bullpen puzzle. Now let's get a left fielder. So far I'm like our new GM.

They signed Mark Lowe and I missed it. Not much, a little old but had a pretty competent year in the pen last season. I like the effort thus far.

Actually, I noticed it days ago! Guess it was a memorable signing.

Lobster DFA.

Not sure what his contract is but he might clear waivers. Might. He should thank God he's a lefty so this for sure isn't the end for him. I seriously could see the Royals claiming him and putting him in the pen.

I like Lobster more than the amazing Buck Farmer. Farmer is useless.

Keep seeing things saying that the Tigers are still interested in Cespedes if they can get him for the right price. Am I the only one that would rather see them pursue Alex Gordon?

Hope this doesn't mean they have to sign Melvin as well.

Makes me wonder just how much Cespedes is asking for?

One of the determingin factors for getting Upton, that I read, is that he's two years younger than Cespedes. I wonder if that came into play more than Cespedes' asking price.

I bet it did. For some reason, I thought Upton was older.
