BTW..Im looking forward to your FM Dynasty. Do you plan on loading players from all the Euro and the key S American and African nation?

Lampard and Gerrard can't play in the same team so it's either one or the other, Crouch pffft he wouldn't even make my squad let alone my team as up to now his international goals have been against the likes of the mighty Andorra and Jamaica.

The dynasty will consist of the Russian Premiership and First Division (full) and the database (huge) there will not be many non Russian signings as Russian teams have a limit on the number of non Russian players on a team.

The new manager of Torpedo Moscow is Vasily Kozlov who will take the place of Sergey Petrenko, Kozlov is an ex Moscow player and it's his dream job so no need to load other leagues as unless he is sacked this is the only job he wants, if he is sacked then it will be the end of the dynasty.

The first instalment should be up in a day or so and will be a background story on Kozlov, the reason why I chose Torpedo Moscow and a squad report on the weak points and strong points of the squad, just a taster on what they are is that my main bids so far have been for a goalkeeper, defensive midfield player and a forward.

Further from my new found favourite team V.Varen Nagasaki, some other cool team names from Argentina; Nueva Chicago, Unión Santa Fe, and my favourite Ferro Carril Oeste. :swoon:

The back four plus goalie is automatic, mostly because there aren't any other obvious choices for Robinson and the two full-backs.

Midfield - meh. I would have Hargreaves in there in the DM position over Carrick, although as he said Lampard/Gerrard can't play together in the same team, and so one has to go.

As for Wright-Phillips and Lennon on the wings, it would be a bold move to do that as although both have impressed as subs, of course that is against tiring opposition. Whether either could do it from the start is questionable at present.

Up front, I better say straight away I don't like Rooney, but I guess as he is the new Maradona/Pele/anyone else from the past he'll always start even if he don't score for six months.
It's probably going to be someone who runs onto balls that plays with him, so Ashton is a possible but again he has not played on the international stage, so it is a questionable and/or bold move IMO (although I guess whoever you pick it will be).

I forgot about Hargreaves to be honest with him having a longterm injury , Downing isn't the answer on the left even though he is left footed he's proved he can't even play well against weaker teams s he doesn't have a chance against the top teams, Joe Cole doesn't play too bad on the left but I'd go with Wright Phillips, yes he isn't really a left sided player but pace scares teams.

The best of Maradona however is on show as he scores one fo the greatest goals of all time when he slices through the England team to score a great individual goal

It's a shame they don't have a football team in Oymyakon. That would be cool.

Faroe Islands forward Christian Jacobsen before the Faroes game against France this week is quoted as saying "It will not be easy for France to get a goal" Lets be honest Christian what you meant to say was "It will not be easy for France to get a goal in the first 10 seconds"

I'm dissapointed the Faroe Islands FA didn't reply to my email, I sent one asking could they send stats of the team and records, maybe they didn't like my question on whats the longest they have gone without conceding a goal

I must be losing my marbles as I thought I had mentioned when it was, but clearly I didn't.

Oh well - and maybe you should have wrote your email in Faroese.

Yeah you said that they had a couple of 0-0 draws but the game before they must have gone say the last 10 - 20 minutes without conceding and after their 0-0 they must have gone the first few minutes of that game without conceding so they may have gone something like 91 minutes without conceding a goal , just joking be something like 120 minutes or something without conceding, I can't speak Faroe but I used my best Faroe acsent and I'm not even going to reply to that persons "Faroe away" <<< shaking head so much I'm getting dizzy.

I love the old names that I've been brought up with like Honved, Hajduk Split, St Etienne, Grasshoppers, Dinamo Tbilisi and so on.

I was hopefull of the Georgian league being in as not only Dinamo Tbilisi are in that league but when FC Ameri were on eurosport in the summer I was impressed with them and their website, would love to have done a dynasty with them.

As I said, I am VERY disappointed that there are no new leagues this year.

I'm guessing nobody knew the background for this joke then.

I deserve for making it too obscure.

Like I said before I'm thinking of opening a poll up on "Are games companies taking us for fools" all you ever see now is remakes of past games like FIFA series, Madden series, FM series, not much changes within the games and they expect us to fork out money every year just for updated rosters.

I think the there is changes to the actual gameplay on the pitch. It was tweaked in patch 6.0.1 as well. And I think they have tightened up the AI and made it a little harder to take Leigh RMI to the EPL. Its still impossible to take Barrow there.

Are you talking about changes from FM2007 from 2006? I the engine looks marginally improved, but the speed of the highlights is too quick ... maybe a bias towards the tempo of English football as opposed to elsewhere around the world.
